I just started a berserker and have gotten the first two tomes and made some axes but when I try to use them I get the response that i'm either to far away or too close. I have targeted a mob that is not moving and moved up on him inch by inch trying to throw the whole time and still nothing. I have 12 skill in throwing and haven't thrown a single axe. Can anybody please help me to figure out what I am doing wrong.
Make sure that you have your axes in the RANGE and AMMO slots...not just the AMMO slot. You only need one in RANGE, the rest can sit in ammo and will replace the thrown one from Range automatically.
You are getting the "too far away" message because even though you are hitting range attack...there's nothing there to throw, so it checks melee distance.

I ran into that in one zone with daggers. When I went to a different zone it was fine. Might be a bug try throwing them in different zones.
