Good place for level 40 cleric to groupFollow

I want to stretch my wings a little bit and venture forth into other “more unusual” parts of Norrath. Besides LDON, where would be a good place for a level 40 cleric to find a group and adventure? My moral preference is not to go guard hunting in good or neutral aligned zones. Being a cleric adventuring now almost always requires a group.

Gunthak/Dulak are cool if you haven't been. Sort of hard to get a group though. In fact most "unusual" places are empty and thus groups are not easily had. But anyway the XP and Loot is good in Ykesha.

Dreadlands are still pretty full of level 40 - 50's and at 46 alot of people are taking PoJ groups since the level of twinkage is so high. i think you could prolly solo at the skele pyramid in DL at 40 but i wouldn't quote me on that it's been a while.

if you want more 'New world' try the hard side of Echo Caverns or Teneb Mountains i am pretty sure as a cleric no soloer is going to object to becoming a duo unless they are a Druid or necro.

I currently have a lvl 41 cleric.

Gunthak and Dulak are good, especially since your entire Temp spell quest will take place there. Good XP. Take a group if you are planning on heading up to the fort or into Dulak though, lots of really agitated mobs to chase your around. Only zones you can run to are higher lvl and more agro than where you are...if you can even make it there. Otherwise, fight on the beach and work up to a nice camp site. Make sure you have root and pacy up as you will need them both the really be effective.

Lower GUK is also good at our level. GUK is fun but again, take a good group. Might be able to join a group there.

The Dreadlands are also fun and you can usually find a pickup group on the FV side.

With a partner or group you could fight Wurms and giants in the Great Divide. Also go to the Ry Gor fortress in the Eastern Wastes.

City of Mist! This is some of the best 40-50 xp in the game, way underused. I got an easy 4 levels in one day with a group here.

Kaesora is a 30-45 zone with lots of undead mobs and, from what I hear, an excellent dungeon experience bonus.

Gunthak also has lots of undead mobs, good exp and decent loot for the level. There is also a bank, soulbinder and vendors just a quick swim from where you'll be hunting. This is pretty much a "bring your own group" zone.

What about Frontier Mountains? I never hunted there but many people used to.

In regards to finding a group, Tarv is right. Dreadlands is the place to go. Otherwise, get comfortable being the one to put together a group yourself. As a cleric, I doubt you'd have much trouble recruiting people. If it's your group, you can call what zone you want to explore right up front.

Check out the zone guide by level link on the left side of the page to see which zones would be good candidates.

I was kind of a loner around that level. Solo L. Guk in the safehall. Just use Pacify and, if you pull a wizard, use DA right after you pull because it will chain cast 4 to 5 times before it comes to hit on you. Make sure and have Magic and Fire resist on yourself. You will often find a Pally or mage down there to group up with also.

Katta Graveyard would be easy also. Just Invis to undead, run around GY till one pops, then pull it out to the walkway. If you get two pops, just stay invis to undead till they de-pop.

You should be able to take out the Spectres in Oasis soon also..Maybe around 44.

All depends on your gear though:)

Best Group Exp, would be City of mist, Lower guk , Hard LDoNs, and the Spectres in Oasis.

Use the LFG tool and put a group together for CoM. Use the Field of Bone portal in Pok and run to Emerald Jungle. It's really not hard to get to anymore.

I didn't care for Dulak Harbor exp much, it is steady if you have a group though, and you get lots of Zombie skins to sell.

That's all I can think of at the moment..

Slight correction to Theraun's post.

I think you were referring to the beach in Gunthak. Dulak is the adjacent zone.
