I have played EQ for a while, and got to lvl 51 with my druid before I had to quit. I usually grouped with my druid, and usually did the normal thing, snare/ds/nuke/DoT. And i was wondering now are druids the main healer from 51-65? I like what a druid can do in groups but Im not a big fan of being MH, I dont mind to backup heal at all.
Also I plan on duoing with a lvl 52 necro friend of mine, what is the druids job while duoing with a necro? And where would be a good place for us to duo? he currently solo's in CS right now and says it is really easy for him to do alone, so we could probably take something a little tougher.

Druids make excellent healers once they get to lvl 58 and get Tunare's Renewel(druid complete heal or ch). It heals 2925hps or 75% heal, takes 10 seconds to cast. Once you get to 63, Nature's Infusion 1750 heal (quick heal on 3.75 secs to cast) makes druid good healers. Trayc(my 65 druid) has been healer many many times since Trayc has gotten the heal spells, with the addition to other buffs, druids are wanted as healers by many.

Regen the necro, heal the pet, stack your dots, kite or root adds (or snare them if you're outdoors and the necro is fearing them). It's stupid easy experience for both of you.
At 51 I'd say you and your necro friend could tear up Burning Woods and Skyfire, among *many* other zones.

Druid /neco is a good combo, you should definately use you Damage Shield. Heal his pet and cast your dots when able. Don't over do it on the dots unless you are aggro kiting on purpose. Also you should be casting snare on the mobs to keep them from running.
Druid should not snare when Duo'ing with Necro's Since the necro snare is also a DoT.
As said druids are not hugely effective as Main healer untill 58 but after that are used for that, i like having druid in my group as back up healers since they are so versatile.

I have duoed with a necro in hoh aggro kiting. I personally hate their snare cause it waers off so quickly. I have had my half elf butt handed to me a couple times because necro snare wore off unexpectedly.
