Augs and slots and all that stuffFollow

K. Ive built up a fair amount of ldon points and have a question about augs. It seems that the only augs that drop( at my lvl ) are of the standard type 7 variety. I know that i can buy augs with my hard earned points. My question is...... Can any augs be plcaed in a different slot type then allocated for aug. For example... can an 8 fit in a 7 or higher? or can a 3 fit in a 2 or lower? I wish to spend 1450 points on a slot 8 but cant really see anything interesting that has a typee 8 slot. I realize that thi is probably a stupid question for a long term player ( since Kunark ). rthanks for any help
