Understanding the Raw Spell DataFollow

I am just curious. I've been able to figure out most of the fields in the spells_us.txt and how it relates to the raw data presented here and Lucy. Just missing a couple things.

How do you calc min/max duration and damage based on caster level? The max damage is in the max1 field and max duration is in the duration field and seems to represent ticks if durationformula is set to 1. But as I analyze spells_us.txt I can't seem to match up any patterns to derive a formula for calculating min/max duration/dmg based on caster level.

Can anyone help?
