I have recently upgraded to the new version of direct X. NOw when I go into EQ I can not change my gamma settings and the picture is now very dark. Is anyone else having this problem if so is there a fix?

Never have had this problem I'm afraid, on both my wife's and my PC the gamma adjustment works fine.

Make sure you have your latest graphics drivers as well as the latest version of DirectX

I have the same problem on four different systems - all running WinXP. Have never gotten anything helpful on this from Sony or anywhere else. Updated every driver I have and still no gamma adjustment with DirectX 9. We did finally figure out a workaround... go to your desktop, right click and select properties. Then click the Settings tab and click on Advanced at the bottom. You should see a tab at the top for your vid card - click on it and look for gamma settings. If you are using Nvidia GeForce it will be under color management, I think. Adjust the gamma there - it will affect everything in windows, but at least you can see to play. Good luck, and if you ever get an answer from tech support on how to fix this please let me know!
