PVP serversFollow

Hi all

I have been playing EQ for about 3 weeks now and am fully enjoying it. I do miss some PVP so was thinking of getting into a PVP guild or something. I have played Neocron for over a year which had a great PVP system in but no quests or nothing to do once capped which is what drew me to EQ.

I have also plsyed SWG and although the PVP was poor in SWG at least it had some.

I am basically wanting some info on the PVP servers. I understand you kill people and loot them which I semi like the sound of although bind point spawning sounds annoying.

Is PVP based guild against guild or is it just solo players ganking one another?

Is there a realistic chance of me levelling a char up to PVP standard on a PVP server when I am not twinked?

Am I still going to be able to do some cave missions and be safe somewhere or are there no 'safezones' and what is the general ethos on these servers.

Thanks for any information
Woody

Go to the EQ Live site and click on the server rules info. There is a full explanation of the different PvP server rule sets there.

Personally if I were to play PvP I would go to Planetside.

people saying "here take this link" does not help me one bit i just ignore them, so maybe you do the same. if you are going to go to the PVP server (im guessing rallos zek as tyhat is the main PVP server) you can level to lv 9 (wich is the pvp level) (errr, the good pvp level i mean) but it takes a place with good epople., i started a beastlord wanting to make him lv 9 as i could bliind them and then sick my pet on them hopefully ending in a kill. but at lv 6 (which if i remember s when u can attack peple) i was in my ogre beastlord hometown trying to get items for my newbie armor when a super twinked pvp druid came up and killed me. of course i have to get my stuff forf my armor so i went back to try and get it again. out of no where she comes and kills me. then she camped the POK book everytime i died so everytime i went to get my stuff i would die. got me really mad. thast the problem with these pvp servers. if you are not twinked you wont survive (most of the time).it is fun to go PVP but takes a lot of work. and staying away from people. feild of bone was one of the places where i didnt find any PVP'ers. if i remember that was the name. it was when u start a iksar, and when u go out of ur hometown wherever the book is, thats the place. but anyway i would reccommend platung on a non pvp server like tunare or somethign as you will barely be able to survive new on everquest PVP. hope that works more than one of these links they gave.

hmm

Planetside is the worst PVP game I have ever encountered sadly. It is the most pointless and boring PVP ever. Just continuous takeover of OPs and sadly after a week of playing moved on. Nothing to do in the game at all.

SWG PVP was alright but I hate this having to ask someone who has got on my nerves if it is ok if I kill them. I like to be able to gank anyone I like if they annoy me.

Neocron is the best all rounder up to now but sadly it has nearly died now with 150 on a server on a good day and a poor server.

Thanks for the information anyway

OK, now i'm a far cry from an expert on PVP playing, so all feel free to jump in and correct. the different pvp are rallos zek, tallon zek, and sullon zek... i think i'm missing one. rallos is all men for themselves. tallon is teams bye race. humans, elves, shorts, evils... sullon zek (my fav, only one i've played) is bye faith. good vs neutral vs evil deities.
