I know these are used in at least 2 types of trade skills to make the most Ubererst of items in Tayloring and smithing, but are they used across the board in all trade skills to make the most uberest items that characters can make.. ( i.e. when they get up to 250 trade skill in whatever craft they have)???

No jewelry craft , Baking , brewing , fletching and pottery do not require blue diamonds to GM, however many really nice items do need had to obtain Planar drops rather than BD, certainly the case for Smithing and Tailoring aswell. cultural armour is ok but nothing on the scale of the tier 4 makeable armours
