Transfering Character and Items from One Server to Another.

How do I transfer a character form the Stromm Server to the Bristlebane Server?

I looked on EQ live website, but they can't move from Stromm server. Is there another service that will move you?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kaeerin

The helpfile is misleading, as it seems to imply that you can move from Stromm, but not to Stromm. In fact, there is at present no transfer system in either direction.

I'm curious. Why does SOE allow transferes to/from certain servers only?

In general, because there is something about those servers that it would like to safeguard.

For example, Stromm is supposed to be a newbie server. An influx of old, top-end characters with all their stuff, would cause a massive shift in the playerbase.

The reasons for not allowing transfers off are a little more unclear.

Other servers have different rulesets. It's blatantly not fair if someone can build their character up into an almight beast, then transfer to a Zek and compete against all those people who have clawed their way up PKing and being PKed all the way.

It's not that long since we had no transfers at all. 'Twas against the vision, y'know.

Because they can.

Long story short about Stormhammer server. Folks abused the transfers to sneak items to another server. This was when you could transfer char but not items.

Info may be on soe boards. You will get a faster answer here however.
Ps Im still waiting for the gear on FV. Unfortunately the cleric is now level 2. ;)

I see - and allowing transfer to Morden Rasp from the start on seems to blend perfectly into SOE policy
/sarcasm off

Morden Rasp isn't a newbie server - it's a new server. It was brought in to relieve congestion on other servers, hence allowing transfers. If they didn't allow transfers, nobody would move (well, very few would, anyway).

So I hope everyone has noticed the relife that it must have given to your servers. Less camping now? Easier getting into LDoN? Economy at the Bazaar getting better?......

I personally spotted 6 people on MR so far over lvl 40, chatted with 4 and all 4 told me this toon was "just an alt"
