Really......How good is Technical Support?Follow

#1 Feb 14 2004 at 12:04 AM Rating: Decent
I post this one SOE Message boards, you should see how messed up their technical support is.

This is what I posted:

got a major rant involving GM's and the Everquest Technical support.

#1) Theirs a hacker in Veeshan as I speak taking peoples accounts and items, oddly enough they took control of my friends account right when he zones into Colithians, and this is following the hacker on another hacked account, a 65 monk when this happened.

#2) Technical support? HA! Called Technical Support they say talk to a GM, we talk to a GM, the GM directs us to technical support, we come back talk to GM, GM sends a Guide named Bolee, he tells us to talk to Technical support. I MEAN GOOD GOD, Does anyone know what to do instead of giving run arounds?

#3) This hacker should of never gotten a far as he did on Everquest, this was 3 hours ago this happened and hes still on the loose in the server as we speak.

#4) We pay $12.95 a month and this is what we get? I could easily go to Diablo II for free if I knew hackers was lose.

#5) in Paying $12.95, will those items he muled and took be returned or anything? I mean this is ridiculous.

Now the funny part, this is what the Admin says:

This is a Technical Support Forum, and not a forum for posts of this nature. Under the guidelines of this forum, I am required to close this post.

Having said that, I recommend you do use the /petition command to speak to a GM. You may also use the Contact Your GM form on EverQuestLive.com, which may be more useful to you since you can provide more information this way.

I mean this topic can be found here http://boards.station.sony.com/ubb/everquest/Forum3/HTML/051572.html

I dont think these GM's and SOE know what the pooooo they doing, its insane when you get directed to Technical Support then back to GM and that goes on back and forth about 4 times before some random person tells you to go to Everquestlive.com chat or some place like that which aint mentioned no where as being part of technical support. I mean we pay $12.95 and we should expect no hackers and support in this game.

its getting worse and worse. I honestly believe everyone needs to quit EQ. If you keep paying then they think they are doing somethnig right. Trust me, quitting isnt all that hard.

I think Quitting is little extreme, although technically it is costly to play this game now with the CPU specs you need just to run the game half descent, and I am afraid to really even say this, but I think it was a GM or someone from EQ staff who hacked those accounts the other day, it was well too thought out and too easy for them to be a regular hacker out of the blue.

On a side note I was talking those items being lost, the items were found last night in a bag in the bank, so they are all their, I am kinda wondering what the point of hacking the account only to do nothing to it, not even mule the items or nothing.

The dev team covers hackers, Tech support is involved with fixing your computer or account so it can run everquest. Blameing the tech people was stupid and inappropriate.

Anyone stupid enough to hack the game is going to get caught. They are going on 5 years now with everyone on the planet constantly trying to hack EQ it seems. trust me, they do have countermeasures to locate that guy, just give it some time.

I dont think it was stupid and inappropriate at all, if it was then the Tech support and GM's would of said something instead of directing us back and forth to each other.

Oh! yeah, They stop em right after everyone screws people out of their accounts and items, yet when Kerafin almost dies the GM's swarm in a pack within seconds to stop it from happening.

I know what goes on, I got alot of people on EQ who gives me all the shiznit.

even if tech support doesnt deal with hackers he shouldnt have been directed to contact tech support. And shouldnt have been re-directed to a gm. Someone should have known who to report hacking issues to and not have given him a run around
