Well suprise suprise, problems on launch day. I can;t get into any of the new zones, and yes I ahve ordered it, registered it, patched it many times so in my niave little mind i decide to contact SoE tech Support. They tell me because I am playing on a Ubisoft server, GoD isn;t released on them yet....hmmm so I call ******** on him as everyone i knew in game was checking out the new zones and linking new items from em. So after an hour of my life gone waiting for his assinine answer I got nothing surprise surprise....so did anyone else have that problem? and how do we go about getting their tech support departmetn fired and replaced with a bunch of typing chimpanzees?

Hmmmm... Well, my automatic smart *** response is that if the same software is working for "everyone you know in game", but not for you, then I guess it's pretty clear where the problem is at least.

Phone "tech support" for a company with a software product the size of EQ isn't really qualified to debug problems with your installation of the software. They're really there just to answer things like: "So. Right clicking the mouse means hitting the right button on this thingie with the cord hanging off the end? Wow! I never knew that!", and "Are you really sure I have to put my software CD into my cup holder in order to install your product? I'm sure I never had to do that before with anything else...".

Not that that makes your problem any better, but honestly, that's the bulk of the types of problems people call them up with. It's not even a matter of whether they could afford to pay more qualified people to do the job. No one (and I really mean this!) who is vaguely qualified to actually troubleshoot any real computer problem you may have will ever ever under any circumstances be caught dead working a job like that. They would literally shoot themselves in the head first.

Yeah. It's a problem, but it's a problem you will find with any tech support for any public computer product anywhere in the world. Your best bet is to post your problem on the tech support forum here and someone will probably have some suggestions that will help you.

ubisoft gOd expansions are not available yet. dont think those go live for a few more days, just like overseas.

there is something about the ubisoft accounts, its not your server its you account.

would of been nice of SoE to tell you this in advance and not hide it in small print, but then again its things like this as to why i refuse to pay a company for something i do not have my hands on yet.

put it in my hands, ill pay you. i refuse to pay for something i will not get for months/weeks/days from now unless it is being shippped.

Thanks Sing, that makes sense is a bizarre sort of way. The tech support guy said it was the Ubisoft Server and nothing about the accounts. I live in europe so I guess that is the problem but I never saw any mention of this on any EQ realted son website, they really should keep us informed of whats going on if they expect us to pay for these things.
