hmm begining to wonder if they ever gonna look at class balancing for things other than straight combat,

Yes this is a whine but my main is an iksar warrior and im currently trying to do tradeskills only to find im up against it at every turn.

for the time it takes to do the tradeskills as a warrior i could create a lvl 1 enchanter PL him to 51 and feed him AA and then GM the tradeskills in twink gear for half the cost ??

also has anyone found anywhere you can get iskar blood in sufficient quantity to make it usefull for smithing ? looking at the cultural armour for iksar is there anyone out there who would wear the armor? it has to be the worst stats for any cultural armor and since they nerfed the drop rates the only place i have seen iksar blood drop is gunthak and its still extremly rediculously rare. (oh and surprise an iksar warrior cant solo here even when the mobs are green they can kick my ***)
i mean cmon the blood is used for tae ew armor too raise the drop rate allready dont ***** the iksars on mith marr the bloods sell for 100pp on average if you check the stats for the armor you'll see most people wouldnt pay 100pp for the finished armor pieces and at most ive seen 14 bloods for sale in the market at one time so it takes 4 times longer to collect enough to make tempers or 4 times the price of most of the other cultural tempers for armor that is worth less than half what the components cost ?

and what ever happened to the legionaire mancatcher for all those other iksar warriors out there? never did quite match the greenmist? so much for newbie armor quests to encourage people o play unusual class race combinations.

ok so maybe im creating my own conspiracy theory here but enchanters can solo with DC, AE farm lower lvl mobs, can hit 255/300 int pretty fast, get cash income spell with KEI can enchant metals/mana vials (jewelcraft is a lot easier too)
hmm so basically im thinking someone at development likes chanters a lot

im sure this all been covered before but warriors live and die by their equipment and our only source of cash is grp splits or item drops that you need a grp to get if not a guild? hp's is a much bigger issue in a grp than mana us warriors cant say lohp and ask for a heal break lol.

but seriously what am i supposed to do as a warrior?

1) start a new caracter
2) quit tradeskills they are a waste of money for me and start them on a new caracter
3) soend 2 months farming green mobs pissing people off trying to get xp off em till i can raise the 10k cash for a single item upgrade
4) keep trying for grps in the hope i get a drop that i can actually sell for some money eventually riping off the grp member who i rolled against who could have really used the item?
5) sell my soul to one of the big guilds give up sleep, work ,and the rest of my life to devote the time to getting the drops by attending every raid whatever the time of day?

post your votes/suggestions below

lol and dont take this post too seriously i just in the mood for a winge

I'm in the middle of lunch so I could have missed something but I read "Balance" "Warrior" "Chanter" and "Trade Skills"

Ok so my chanter can master Jewelcrafting pretty quick ( with a very large bank roll) where as the Warrior is going to take more time to learn it.

Now let's head into combat.... Balance that out.

Warrior get's hit and hit and hit and hit and hit and hit.

Chanter get's hit, begs for sow for cr and starts over.

Brains or Brawn you made the choice.

I'm new to EQ but to give you my opinion, it makes complete sense if warriors suck at trade skills to make an alternate toon of a class that is good at trade skills and have them be your trade skill person. Otherwise join a guild and have them do your trade skill stuff. I wouldn't think every guild that has tradeskill people would require you to go on raids all the time.

Yes its true but casters are better at soloing and warriors are needed only 1 per LDoN group.

So did SOE **** up something? Maybe - but thanks to IGE that problem is easily soved:

Buy either a caster of decent level or enough plat to equip any warrior with such a ******** of uber armor that even the best caster never's gonna kick your *** (his pet maybe while he nukes you to oblivion but thats a different story).

Do I sound like a cynic? Maybe - but that problem is easily solved too:

Don't listen to me ;-)

Sure should Warriors suck at trade skills.

Ogre Warriors especially should have their armor crafted by Gnome Enchanters cause they handle plate that weighs more than two of them better than any dumb Ogre.

Dwarf Warriors better rely on a High Elf Wizard to make some good Stout too if they want quality.

And not to forget these stupid Barbarian Warriors who better ask a Halfling Druid to make some Halas Meat Pie.

Yeah - Warriors should definitely suck at tradeskills....
