Newb Question on Auto-AttackFollow

#1 Feb 06 2004 at 11:49 PM Rating: Decent
Howdy all,

I'm really, really new to EQ, having come over from SWG. I'm playing a monk, and have a question concerning auto-attack.
As it is set up now, as I auto-attack something, I just attack with my hands. Is there any way to add "kick" into the auto-attack sequence? Any help you folks can give would be greatly appreicated.

Auto-Kick? It is possible with macroing, but any useful macro that did such a thing would be against the EULA. Nope, sorry, you will have to reach over to that mouse and left click your Kick key every now and than.

Though if you are lazy enough and want to click the kick button less than needed, you could do a Social with pauses and kicks.

Roughly something like this:

1st Line: /pause 90, /doability (whatever number kick is in the ability tab in your actions menu, 1 - 6, left to right, top to bottom)
2nd Line:/pause 90, /doability (whatever number kick is)
3rd Line:/pause 90, /doability (whatever number kick is)
4th Line:/pause 90, /doability (whatever number kick is)
5th Line:/doability (whatever number kick is)

This social makes it so you only have to press kick once every 6 ticks.

I figured as much....it's not a big deal, clicking the mouse every few seconds to add kick, round kick, etc. into the combat command queue...I just thought that Auto-Attack could be configurable. Thanks!

Haha, try being a higher lvl ranger... you're firing off your bow every 1-2 secs and there's no auto-ranged attack key either. It's worse then being a bard, I swear. The only good thing is you can get a good gamepad and use it, but I personally find gamepads annoying. Oh well, the price you have to pay...
