Easy epics?Follow

#1 Feb 06 2004 at 10:55 AM Rating: Decent
I recently finished the Druid epic quest and found that it was pretty easy (as far as epic quests go). Only three of the mobs required 1 solid group to kill (Spawned Venril Sathir, Ulump, and spawned Faydedar). Are their any other epic quests that are of similar difficulty to the Druid epic? And are they mostly soloable?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Rogue epic is notoriously simple.

All in all though, it depends wildly on your definition of "soloable". Since I mainly play a bard, I'll use that to make my point. Can a lvl 65 bard solo Phinny for the backbone? Yeah, according to multiple accounts I've heard (and it makes sense anyway). Can a lvl 55 bard do it? Probably not. Would a level 50 bard want to solo in Fear for an Amy whip? Hell no. A lvl 64 bard with Vex Thall equipment and Fade? Might be fun.

Really, I'd say most epics can be largely one-grouped or soloed for most of it. Question is, do you want to be running your epic quest at the point in the game where getting it is largely trivial? Chance are, by that time, the epic itself isn't all that much of a prize (excluding a few choice epics).

The only real 'hard' part about the cleric epic is raiding Chardok, but that can easily be done with lvl 65s these days.

The beastlord epic can be solo'd all the way through with no assistance at level 65. The mainhand weapon at this point is utterly lame, but the offhand supplies 40% haste, which is pretty decent if you don't have anything else by then.

Yeah, it's all relative. They seem easy b/c when they were designed, we didn't have 65 levels and tons of AA's available. It meant you actually HAD to have help, skill, a bit of luck... anyway, it's kinda of like saying "My level 60 ranger tears through South Karana like it's no tomorrow"... well, yeah, it wasn't meant for people of that level and you're probably not going to get anything out of it that was worth your time (unless Quillmane pops :) )

Ranger epic is really easy, considering the two harder parts, Jade Reaver from CoM, and Swirling Sphere from PoSky can be bought / MQ'ed.

Even the mage epic (one of the most difficult) can be solo'd except for one piece at level 65.

Now that I think about it, I've heard of some people buying a bridge up to the 7th island and farming crowns.

As for other epics, most of them are trivial at level 65. The cleric epic being the easiest/fastest one I've helped complete can be done in one long weekend.

Hehe.. indeed.
"Hey, we took down Trakanon with only six people!"
"Yay you for being able to kill a 32k mob from four years ago with levels, equipment, spells and AA skills undreamed of when he was put in and balanced!" Smiley: lol
