As a DE shadowknight would i be kos in Paineel? If so is there anyway I can raise faction? Thanks!
DE Shadowknights are probably borderline KoS in Paineel. Meaning if you are KoS, it won't be by too much.
The easiest way to raise Paineel faction is to head through the Paineel newbie area into the Warrens and kill kobolds. At level 7 you might have a tough time due to adds, but it's certainly possible to hunt near the zoneline. It gets much easier at level 10 or so. The faction hits on kobolds are very small, but there are tons of them so just kill, kill, kill.

Everyone is KoS in Paineel except those who start in Paineel or those who have done faction work. That includes evil humans and those evil races who follow Cazic Thule (Iksar, Trolls and Ogres).
Dark elves don't have the benefit of race or religion to impress the Heretics. Of course, even paladins of Mith. Marr can get into favor in Paineel with enough kobold killing so there's nothing preventing you from doing so.
Once you reach apprehensive (I believe, maybe indifferent), you can start turning in kobold molars in Paineel. Yes, this hurts your Erudin factions but what use does a dark elf shadowknight have for Erudin anyway? Six backpacks of molars was enough to take my Iksar BST up to kindly. All I needed was Amiable so I could get a Paineel key, but whatever -- I'll take it.

if you hunt in warrens you will build both Erudin factions and Paineel factions. it will take a while but you will nto rut any other factions other then the warrens
all has the added benefit of leveling in the warrens being IMHO the best built lowbie dungeon in the game. why the didn't put this off EC i will never know. if they did everyone would level there.
