sometimes when my wife wants computer i need to use laptop and without a real mouse or number pad on it it is kind of hard to use so i was thinking of using a game controller
any advice would help wether you think it is good or bad idea nad if you use controller what type?

I don't know about a game controller, but I know that you can get a full-size keyboard and mouse for a laptop..which is what I plan to do when I finally get my laptop. =)
Personally, since I think EQ is a very social game and very chaty, I can't see how a game controller would work. Maybe for soloing, if you don't plan on talking to anyone at all...or if you have everything you ever need to say hotkeyed.... O.o
