What is the minimum level now to do an adventure?

I was told you only had to be 15 but have a 20 member/leader to get the adventure. Some lower levels in the 15 to 20 range have tried twice now to get an adventure to be told they had none for them. Any ideas?

Thanks,

As far as I know, you have to be at least 20th level.

One must be level 20 to join a LDoN adventure group. The average level of the group has no bearing.

I believe you can get you adventurer's stone at level 15. Perhaps that's what's causing the confusion.

How do I go about getting an adventurers stone, and what does it do? I just purchased Ldon and haven't installed it yet.
Thanks...

You can get the adventurer stone at 15, which will allow you to use the magus in each wayfarer camp to teleport to the different camps. But it's correct, you cannot actually enter a dungeon until lvl 20. (No idea on if you can get BACK in to retrieve your corpse/continue the adventure if you die and lose enough exp to go back to level 19)

To get your adventurer stone, follow the voices in your head....no, seriously. There's a text telling you to go to your home town, then when you get there telling you who to talk to and where to find them. Talking to them and following all the prompts will provide you with answers you will need. After finishing the conversation, head out to a wayfarer's camp, and start hailing people until you find the NPC that will ask you a bunch of questions. Answer the questions, and you'll get the stone.

theres a bug in Freeport. At least 3 people of this board including myself were sent to a guy named (something like) Miocai Herlasias but he did never respond. One human claimed the wayfares guy at the PoP book was giving him the adventure stone quest, my half-elf toon stumbled over an NPC in a Kelethin inn who gave me the quest finally.

I am not sure whether you can get back into an LDON zone if you die and lose your level. I would guess yes, since you were given permission to enter when you were 20th and the permissions probably exist for the duration of the zone.

But that is irrelevent, since if you just wait a bit, the zone crashes and all bodies are expelled.

You need to go to your hometown to talk to the NPC before you can get the adventure or go to the alternate site in Rathe(?) if you are no longer welcome in your hometown. If you are having problems in your hometown, I would think you could go to the alternate site. I had an interesting discovery the other day relating to the stone - I died on a Mistmore LDON and ended up in Everfrost where I had last bound to start a CR. I didnt even think about not having a stone (on my corpse with all the other stuff in MM) and hailed the magus and said butcherblock - I was telported there and ran to get corpse with a SOW from a friendly adventurer. It wasnt until I began looting body that I realized that I had been able to use the magus without having the actual stone on me. Has anyone else noticed this>?

Hi Guys,

Well I am not sure what the problem was but here is what I do know as of last night 2/5/04. You can LDA below 20 cause my son did it and the lowest level in the group was 15 the highest 21. Not so successful but hey they had a great time. Why they could not get it to work on numerous other tries I am not sure perhaps the person doing the adventure did not do it right.

Hmm, that's odd. Everything I read and heard about the dungeons was very definate on level 20 minimum.

You get the call to go talk to the NPC in your hometown at level 15 and you can get the adventurer's stone...but you cannot get in the instanced zones till level 20.

From what I understand, there has been an update to this, but I'm not sure on the exact details. I've been hearing it two ways.

1. As long as the leader of the group is level 20, you can have players who are level 15 in your group.

2. As long as the average level of players in the group is 20 (rounded up), you can have players who are level 15 in your group.

In the first example you could have 5 players level 15, as long as the leader is at least level 20 you can get an adventure.

In the second example, a group of 20s - 22s could invite a single 15 into their group because they would get 19.5 or so for the average level, which rounded up would be 20.

I do not know for sure, this is the rumors thats been flying around BB while I'm waiting to start an dungeon. As none of my alts are at least 15 yet I can't verify what the case is.

Well at level 20 your not going to get much at all for adventure points. There are better places for a level 20 to level so I don't understand why somone would want to it LFG in a camp.

There's a few reasons

1. Get started early on building up the "useful information" to power your charm up from the adventurers.
2. Augmentation drops, while weak at lower levels, still provide some assitance.
3. Rare Drops off named can still be better than what most people are getting from regular mobs.
4. Not having to deal with trains, kill stealers, camps, etc.
5. Loot isn't really that bad, usually at least 20 pp or so per person.
6. More likely to have a full group, meaning easier to earn leadership exp. (which really is better to start at lower levels if possible).
7. If your character forages you can start collecting the various materials that can be used in tempers - which sell pretty well also.
8. Even earning 1 or 2 points per dungeon will add up. If you earn about 1 point an adventure, and it takes two adventures per level, by the time your level 30, you could have approx 20 adventure points already - almost enough to buy some of the lower level spells (such as pack shrew).

Its not all about the adventure points at lower levels. A level 20 ranger can get a +1 or +2 aug for dex, possibly a better sword, forage a bunch of say gargolye granite, earn about 20 pp, and maybe reach level 21.

I'd much rather do LDONs then deal with the realitively loot-free, train-a-rific PC, regardless of how good the xp is.
