well....maybe its my fault - as a non-native english speaker I should probably not resort to satire/sarcasm/cynism too often ;-)

First language German by any chance? Some of the wording structure you use reminds me of the entance structure of some Native german speakers I know. Just curious.

With respect guys, I deal in millions of platinum, and my items are -always- priced cheaper than market averages. I've never had a situation where anyone habitually bought items from me and then remarked them up.

The whole problem was theoretical, it just doesn't exist yet.

Yes.

How?

That was just a bait to get the chance to ask you "How?" Good luck with your next answer :)

It is ok, I am done and stand by my answer. Why do you think I might say yes?

I was sure about your answer but about the reason behind I can only speculate:

you don't like people havin fun in another way you do?

Come on, that wouldn't even answer your own question silly

But it would answer that question - has no one told you yet that the posts appear in cronoLOGICal order, silly?

so your new question is:

How would my group of 6 benefit if the 1000 soloers disappeared from the server?

I don't understand how "you don't like people havin fun in another way you do?" is a description of how I would benefit.

Please edumacate me....

A hint: Many soloers monopolise spawns of rare green mobs for rare drops and plat. The number of spots for viable soloing is limited. On your fantastical server there are more soloers than spots.

I see - the problem seems to be that soloers -apart from groups- play 24 hours a day for 7 days a week.

btw: W(here)TF are these rare green mobs with rare drops and plat =)

....sometimes I think I overdue that I-play-just-for-fun-attitude a bit as I didn't know there was anything on Norrath worth monopolizing....

...I take screenshot of my toon sittin on the beach in the OoM at sundown instead.....

But HELL - the two of us ARE different somehow I guess ;)

Imagine you and 5 others where the only ones who are not purley soloing on your server. Do you think it'd benefit you if the 1000+ soloers left the server exclusively to your 6-toon-group?

Have fun with avoiding a simple "yes" or "no"

:D

Leiany poses what she seems to think is a real swerve ball question. The killer question that will prove some irrefutable point. In her imagination, she is high-fiving Socrates, while Plato gives her oral pleasure.

Unfortunately there is a flaw in her logic. A server with 1000+ soloers would be just terrible for a group of 6 lowbies trying to level up and get gear. Every decent low-to-mid level loot spot that is soloable will be perma camped by a higher level soloer, which is clearly to the detriment of the group. This phenomena - the soloing Necro monopolising named mobs in dungeons has been going on for years. Luckily this is not so bad on FV due to the Trival Loot Code. This would be an example of a soloer having fun but effecting my game.

We'll not mention the zone or area disruption caused in many outdoor zones by kiters - I'll ignore that, because they are not usually that good exp or loot for a group. This would be an example of a soloer having fun that doesn't really effect my game.

Personally I don't mind soloers. As long as it doesn't effect my game, do what you want to do to have fun. You will be limiting yourself for content, but I am sure you know that. What is annoying though is seeing a red soloer in a green dungeon farming all the phat loots and keeping that content from level appropriate people. Don't do that ****!

So Leiany, where were we baby? You done with Plato? It is my turn now you little minx.

Man...that's a lot of sweettalk here @Patrician =)

...but regarding that Socrates & co gave greek a new meaning I think it's their turn on you once I'm finished with Plato and Socrates - you should be used to it ;-)

But apart from that you suddenly appear quite reasonable to me. If you objected in the first place to high-level (possibly twinked to the max or account bought) soloers who act selfish, unsocial and rude ....

...then I wouldn't have felt at all attacked cause that's what i'll never become and even further I wouldn't like that attitude too from a soloer (but from a group even less *lol*)

So I guess you wouldn't have really had a problem with my toon if she told you "Thanks for the invitation but I don't group usually" (Hotbutton of my deleted Rogue - no kidding!) as long as she didn't KS or overcamp ;-)

...and what about buying that last piece of snake meat from the vendor for my "Deadly Medly" before your grasp?

Baby I see you haven't done this before. That was foreplay. Mmmm mmm.

I retract it all. I was silly to think by soloers you meant the type of soloers that we all encounter everyday in game. Had I known you meant the soloers who do little else but take screenshots of themselves sitting on the beach during sunsets, we never would have had this little mix up.

I know you loved it though, every cloud....

And there vanishes your moment of being resonable....

you have to decide yourself, marmelade (honey is to sweet for you) - is that (..red soloer in a green dungeon farming...) the rule or the exception???

It is irrelevant. When you ask players what they think of soloers, they will naturally talk about the soloers they actually encounter - which generally happens to be the kiters and dungeon soloers. I think it is a very obvious point that a soloer that nobody encounters is neither a benefit nor a detriment to the gaming experience of other people. If that is the crux of your argument, then I am afraid your argument sucks.

One thing that doesn't happen, is red groups fighting in green dungeon. Ever.
