Well, someone had to post a Weekend Update!

Friday

Unable to get into LDoN group or any group...sucked to be me...

Saturday

Anoter unsuccessful day for an LDoN--ooh wait! Got one! Unfortunately, group got wiped due to druid causing aggro/paladin not having his Stun workable (i.e., did not put enought points into Evoking). Therefore, the named npc that we were fighting was able to do a number of CHs on itself.

As we were running out of time and folks had to leave, we decided to evac out with a minute to go on the mission...strangely, we never got a failure for the mission. Is this normal if you leave an adventure with time to spare? As this was the first time I ever experienced this situation, I do not know.

Sunday

Fun guild raid into Plane of Nightmare (my first visit) and did the maze. Lot of fun! That was about it, had to leave for Super Bowl party.

Still having LD issues...

Friday - prepare to drive to Long Beach for wife's cousin's wedding. 15 minutes of Unrest - DING Shorrty to 21.

Sat - drive to Long Beach for wedding - nice! Drive back. Beat! Sleep...

Sun - "post-wedding relative visit" at my house. Church, then clean house. Set up trader in Bazaar, sell a few minor things. Mow lawn. Burn the crap out of my fingers by grabbing hot mower engine. Watch Super Bowl with fingers soaking in ice water - missed the boob flash. Didn't really care to see it anyway.

Mon - RL employer faction quest.

Celeni just got set up on the hillside in Plane of Storms with our group, pulled the first few mobs and everything was going along swimmingly, when without any warning the server went down.

Way to go GM!

Then the fuse went in SOE's basement (or some such story) and I could not log in for the next 20 hours.

Very annoying and made me miss a guild raid in Karnor's.

When I did finally manage to get past the errant patcher, Aesten embarked on a series of LDoN adventures, all of which are now one long blur of sitting around BB sending endless tells followed by a short period of intense stress and then back sitting at the BB camp getting just as stressed sending and responding to tells once again.

Anyway somewhere along the line Aesten collected enough points to get himself a nice new pair of strides.

The final mission on Sunday afternoon was noteable, in that the only people LFG were two SK's a Warrior a Palladin and Aesten (Cleric). We decided to get together and see what we could do, as luck would have it, at the last minute a Bard came along.

Someone must have cast Aura of False Bravery on us or something, because we decided to go for a High level collection and off we went.

It went like a dream, luck was with us as we had a really good Bard, he kept mana song up for me when I needed it, he slowed, hasted and mezzed when it was needed. I think I can safely say, he made the difference.

So what began as frustrating weekend ended on a nice note (sorry 'bout the pun Smiley: grin

Mucho RL fun. Sun was shining this weekend and a gentle promise of spring was in the air :))

Otherwise raised tradeskills, skinned a lot of kodiaks alive, dinged 16th and had my toon make a lot of plat on pelts and basic smity stuff while I enjoyed the good things in life. :))

Practiced my AE kiting skills in Nadox on that one room full of Vehement Blackhands and the Guardians. Died a couple times, but managed to make an AA and change, get some practical experience and made about 3k off of plat drops and Zrathxil weapons. Also let enough equipment drops rot to choke a drogmar.

Went on an ill fated LDoN with my two-boxing friend. Gimped on collect drops, constant LDs from both of us.. we cut our losses at the 45min mark. Damn you, Rujarkian Hills!

Not much else, really. Spent time in trader mode, time wasting time, etc. Was fairly uneventful.

Not a lot of mobs up for us WHEN we had people on to kill them, grr. Spent a bit of time exping in Earth and doing LDoN adventures.

At some point I dinged the rogue 62 and dinged the cleric 46 AND got the cleric her first Skyfire shard for her epic.

Bought Sami another HP augment.

New content please.

I've always liked reading the updates and decided to post for the first time as I am finally starting to get into some interesting stuff. My guild has been farming VT shards ever since our 1st emperor kill about a month ago and this Friday we made our first foray. We got to the locked door and of course the stupid thing is still bugged with the key holding mob on the other side. We talked to a GM and he told us to try pushing a mob through the door to get it open (/boggle @ a gm telling us to exploit). Well, unfortunately when we did this we did get people across from being summoned but the mob gated at low health and we got trained and wiped. Well we picked ourselves back up, summoned corpses and cleared our way back to there and had the necro that was fd on the other side rez a mage and we started CoTH'ing. We went and killed two named and Blob1 before we called it a night.

We started back up on Saturday and were doing quite well. We actually had another incident with a gating mob and ended up with about 15 mobs in camp. Needless to say our guild leader told the clerics to camp expecting a wipe. Well, somehow we survived using MT #3, shamans to heal and luckily most of the mobs were mezzable so the enchanters could keep them locked down. It was quite a rush to pull that one out. We then made our way to "Candyland". At this point we had been in VT for about 8 hours which is twice our normal length of raiding. We wiped on Blob2 due to all the tanks missing the enrage. The casters made a valiant effort but all were dead with the mob at 2%. We called it a night as everyone was pretty beat. To be continued ...

Continued from above..

So Sunday my guild went back without me (I was watching the Superbowl). They started at Blob1, did a complete clear up to and including Aten Ra Ha. It took about 7 hours. This seems to me to be quite an accomplishment for a guild on a server less than a year old that does not require raid attendance and only raids 4 days a week about 4 hours per day. I can't wait to see what we have ahead of us.

Ooh, do I sense a bored Samira?

We could use a few wise cracks to give SoC the last push towards being an oiled war machine. Yes!

Fancy being in the elite Rogue team with me? /winks

Since when did doing interesting things be a pre-req for posting weekend updates? hehe

LDON all day Saturday. Got into a group that had at least 4 of us say we wanted another each time. Recruit 2--> Adventure --> Recruit 2 --> adventrure. Made 2 lvls and good loot. Lots of quality time.

Had a great time killing giants at the fort on Sunday. My 32 cleric and my son;s 31 warrior sat on the hill and casually picked off those big guys. The best part was the 20 something druid being PLd by the SK (yes, you heard right). To make matters worse, the SK did not really know how to PL. They wee in action when I was medding usually, so was entertainment. The druid would run up to me dragging the mob looking for heals. I had the mana to do so all but once...and of course, that was all it took.

I took a screenshot of it...was quite funny to see the druid-doggy running around me being chased by a giant that is being chased by an ogre SK, while me and my son's dwarfs sit and med.

Haha, I am NOT SERVERMOVING omg.

Not bored exactly, more frustrated with the timing of things. Some weeks we hit every god, some weeks we miss em all.

Still good to exp with the rogue. Forgot to mention I also took my 52 mage on her first LDoN pickup group... /shudder
