Some quick answers:
1. To make money froom looting low lvl creatures try goblins (but NOT aqua goblins)in Butcherblock (about 4p each), wandering Greenblood there also gives about 3p each but has no camps.
2. To be part of the EQ economy you NEED the Bazaar (luclin expansion) then just killl everything that drops LQ, MQ or HQ "Wolf" "Cat" or "Bear" skin. and everything that drops "Spider Silk" or "Spiderling Silk" and sell this stuff in the Bazaar (just go AFK and to sleep while your Toon is up there) for 4-20p each. 1000p per week is easily possible that way.

Don't forget bone chips. Those can sell pretty well too.
