I know this could be way out there and maybe someone else has stated this, but could it be possible that SOE is in on all this and this conglomerate is a side project of their's. Makes sense to me there is alot of money to be made selling virtual products to your customers you already have and all under a guise to not upset your hardcore fan base. ? Beats me? I could be crazy? Just curious what you guys think.

I don't believe that. I think they'd have to balance making IGE vs the security of people knowing the plat is coming from Sony. I think they'd get more customers from the security, than they'd lose from selling in game items for RL money.

even if what you said is 100% accurate, not saying it is or is not, i would still love to see SoE finnaly getting off their duff and baning every e-bay toon, and every yantis/IGE toon account, but sadly that will never happen.
SoE is a big fat greedy pig and needs a major arese kicking. im really hopping that some of the next gen. MMORPGs will do the trick and get them off their duff and fix their major issues like plat dupping, macros, cheats, etc.
or just fess up that they dont care as long as they are getting paid as to what you do, then let the system run as it runs and stop with the nerf bat, and fix game play issues instead.
one or the other, but do something other then fire up the nerf gun every month or so and shoot that dead horse 1 more time.
things are moving in a direction that are going to cause me to drop both my accounts soon if this cheating/hacking/dupping/selling of ingame PP for IRL $$ is not put to an end and things get back under controll.
no controll, for that i can go play on bnet for free, but there i know to expect cheaters, hackers, duppers, etc, and i dont have to deal with BS like we are dealing with now. and its FREE
