Having key board problems-help pleaseFollow

About 2 or 3 times a week, while playing, my key board will stop responding. What usually happens is I am walking/running and my toon will stop. On the chat window in the input box it will scroll thought my most resent sent messages. Then that will stop and I can't get the key board to respond at all. I can still use the mouse. It I sit and camp and them log back on it will work fine. I have been lucky that this has not happened during combat. But it is only a matter of time.

Does anyone know what is causing this, and what I can do about it.

Two things come to mind

First I frequently click into the speech bat of one of my windows by accident. I am then hitting movement or hotkeys and nothing seems to be happening. Eventually I notice the chat line with =888888 or whatever in it.

Second is the way the control keys (Ctrl,Alt,Shift) function. keys send two pulses, one on hit, one on release. If the second is missed the computer thinks you are holding one down. I've had this happen occasionally and it can be cured by tapping each of the 5 keys a few times. I was on the verge of logging out the other day when I realised I hadn't tried this and it cleared the problem.

Of course you could just have a stuck key.

I would switch in another keyboard and see if the problem goes or stays.
