I was with a group at the Outer Caves in Plane of Valor recently and mentioned that I was going to charm a frog (seemed like a good idea at the time), when the rest of the group went into some sort of hysteria telling me that I should not.

We were pretty busy at the time so I never got around to asking them why the aversion to charmed froggies.

Can any one tell me what the problem is with this?

(I was also told that the frogs insta aggro on wolf form is this so?)

They sure as hell put the beatdown on me once when they saw me in werewolf form.

You can make 5k an hour by finding Crusader What's-His-Name up in Trak's Teeth, killing him and looting the Ceremonial Iksar Chestplate and then selling it to someone looking to twink a Berzerker for 5k. Sure, it'll probably only work once, but you'll be 5k richer and an hour older.

Froggies are evil. We ran out of fiends the other day so we decided to smack a froggie. The dam thing ate most of our party. They are very vicious and an under-con. I have seen a few people manage to dire charm them and they do make great pets. However, if the charm fails or breaks you better zone.

They are not immune to charm, at least not to Dire Charm. I've seen them faithfully following their Enchanter or Druid masters quite faithfully!

That said, I could not say if they are immune to all other forms of charm.

they are NOT immune to any high lvl charm DC or Not, I have seen a few times, chanters without DC /makepet & then breaks a while later & beats the chanter down LOL but you can Charm these things with Befriend animal (Druid) & charm with a chanter.

Small tree frog is druid DC pet spawn in PoV lvl 45 and DC'able, tree frog is lvl 60ish not DC'able, possibly immune to reg charm, definately immune to "changes in movement speed" which would be be bad news even if charmable.

Small tree frogs - Animal flagged. Charmable. level 46. You can dire charm em or regular charm em, but regular charm would kind of be a waste. Great dc pet for a druid, but chanters should leave em alone because there is other stuff for us in PoV to DC.

Other tree frogs - Animal flagged. Charmable. level 60 to 62. Not dire charmable but druid can charm em at high levels. Chanters should have no problem as well. Fairly decent magic resist and SOME are immune to snare/root. They also agro on any illusion, but that doesn't matter when charmed. If you normal charm them and they break, they chain agro the other 2 that are near the outer camp, so they're a bad idea there.

Generally, when doing outter, the mobs you pull out are better charm candidates, mainly because they have lower MR and generally hit a little harder. Plus, when frogs break charm, they aren't as easy to target, and sometimes people only notice the charm breakage when people start dying.

I generally think that getting beat up by a frog is embarrassing, so I don't charm them.
