I have EQ evolutions, I now have a 30 dollar gift certificate to Electronic Boutique. Should I get LDoN? Or perhaps GoD? My character is only a lvl 30 necro if that matters.

Personally, I think the LDoN expansion is one of the best expansions they've put out. Great experience, decent coinage and excellent training environment to understand your role in a group.

Out of the many times I've done LDoNs, I can honestly say I've only had 2 unskilled groups that caused the failure of the missions. The only other 2 times I've failed a mission was during the collection bug issues (since resolved).

I am also looking forward to the GoD expansion, however, I cannot comment on it since it hasn't been released yet. Perhaps some beta players can at least comment on if it's worth getting or not. I hope it is!

Good luck in your decision!

The GOD expansion is set to cater to the 50-plus crowd. So, it would do you no good in your 30s.

LDON is available at level 20 and above and is the best choice for you right now. You get decent xp, especially at pre-50 levels. You get adventure points with which to buy some pretty nice gear and/or spells. You get some pretty fair loot too.

That's the hat trick for EQ. Buy LDON and use it to hone your class skills and before you know it, you'll be in your 50s and ready for GOD.

Good luck to ya!

I've been playing Everquest, on and off, for a long time. I think I bought it about a month after it was released. When Kunark was released I didn't get it, then the same with velious... my reasoning for not getting velious was because it was for 30+ and I was only in my teens. Kunark, well, I just thought that there was enough for me to explore without spending more money on an expansion.

I quit and came back a couple times in between now and then, but the last time I restarted EQ I bought all the expansions... and it has changed the way I play. I am now able to participate in any group, as I have all the expansions.

Now, that being said... here is my advice, get them all... if you can. If you can only afford one, get LDoN. It's a great expansion, there is good experience to be had, as well as some good loot, but start saving up for GoD :)
