i was wondering if some1 can guide me please. i just started playing a pally and i really hate hitting the taunt key every 5 seconds. i also heard u can use spells as hotkeys. so my question is, is there any way u can make the taunt key works automatically without pressint it every 5 secs or whatever just like when u hit the attack hotkey? you know just press it one time and just goes on till mob is dead. same for spells? like put spell as hot key and spell will automatically cast every, lets say, 10 sec without me having to do it? also any other secrets or recomendations u guys can suggest? i've played a cleric all my eq life and i am sick of just sitting on my **** healing. i need some action.

You could do that, but you could only do it 5 times max per hotbutton press, just like spells. On your hotbutton, put

/pause xx, /doability #

where # is the # of the slot that your skill is in on the Actions pad (default UI, bottom right corner of the screen), and xx is the refresh time on the skill (xx has units of hundredths of a second, so xx = 10 is 1 second). Of course for spells you use /cast instead of /doability, but in either case it's not really a good idea to do it in the heat of battle. For one, you might not want to Taunt 5 times in a row every time you Taunt--for example, maybe you're not the main tank, but somehow the mob you're fighting aggros the cleric. You'd want to help Taunt the mob off the cleric, but as soon as the aggro was off the cleric you'd want to let the main tank get aggro back if he wasn't the one who got it afterwards. And of course chain casting spells really limits your ability to change tactics suddenly. I only make macros like this for practicing spells in PoK to raise the spell schools that are lacking.

Game on,

Erh, you have me confused, you want some action as a change from "sitting on your **** healing", but you don't want to press any of the melee buttons?

Pressing taunt, casting stuns etc and the occasional bow shot are all the "action" you are ever going to get!

And by the way, you would have had far more action as a cleric than you are ever likely to get as a melee of any sort.

Melees have a very easy life in EQ (except for the pullers of course), most casters and priests that I know actually play a melee from time to time in order to relax and take it easy for a while.

click and drag the spell you want into the hotkey slot you would like the spell to be in... or make one like this

/cast 1
/hotkey 1
/g I am a lazy paladin who doesn't like to practice taunt.
