HELP! I am an Elf that cannot speak Elvish. People in-game have patiently tried to instruct me - but perhaps I am missing something. They tell me to click on the "language" button, but I have no language button anywhere. My skills show that I can indeed speak Elf, but I can't make a hot button of the skill. There must be a /command of some sort I can program in????

Thanks for any assistance

There used to be command lines you could use. When the new UI was introduced these were not brought across.

To change language right-click on a chat box and choose the language option. This will then offer you any languages that you have. You may choose one from the list

Note it will offer any languages in which you have ANY skill. You need to check your skills to see whether you will be intelligible in them.

Something like that happened to me also when I started my High-Elf Enchanter. Nobody understood me until I changed language.

Are HIE set to "Elder Elvish" on default?

Thanks, got it workin' easily once I found that secret little place in the chat window :) I am now a full fledged elvish speaking wood elf, and will have some fun!
