A Ranger.......Wants To Say Thankyou...Follow

Hi'ya all Rut's here, in the 1st person for once. I just felt the need to drop a line on what has happened to me over the last couple of days which has exhasberated my disbelief at the conduct of many of the players I have the fortune to meet during the short RL month or so I have been playing.

I had a post answered by a 65 level charcter who I met up for a chat at the bazaar. Well I have to tell you from the outset I was quivering at the chance to converse with somebody who has attained God like status of 65!! Hopefully the lag at the bazaar covered my stuttering nervousness. After this character had kindly answered a few of my newbee dumb-a** questions she then offered me out the blue some cool gear she had "kicking around her bank". Unbelievably she then went on to apologise for having low funds atm!!!

While kicking about Greater Faydark and trying to catch the eye of any dusky petite Wood elf's out there, I was contacted by a fine gentleman who asked if I could connect him to my kit. Uhhhhh what??? didn't really know what he meant but then arranged to meet at the centre of the Nexus. Again this generous player, who I do not remember meeting or knowing, even after trawling through my oaken contact address book with the golden ivy trim, again offered my some gucci uber kit (for my level anyway) and then disappeared into the darkness leaving me there with my mouth agape and dribbling slightly onto the stone floor. I was surprised a couple of defenders in white coats didn't turn up and wheel me away!!

Yesterday complete disaster!!!! Making my way to the Warrens and passing thru Paineel, I came across a huge chasmic hole in the ground. Hmmmm I wonder whats down there, lets shuffle forward a bit and have a ............ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I scream as first I zone into a place called the lower dungeons of the hole or something, and then smear my self over the floor in a lovely red and lycra green montage. So I am toast, I dont know where my corpse is, but then the day gets better when I research and find I am in a level 40-50 area crawling with undead and most likely at the feet of some undead God who's really pi**ed off due to some newbie git making a mess on his carpet.

Binded back to planes of knowledge and start ooc typing for help while wiping away the tears of loss and frustration. I immediatel am advised to seek out a necro by a kind poster (sorry I didn't catch your name), and then get help offered by this weeny weeny guy with a cute shield. This chap then takes me by the hand, thru to Paineel, and after many attempts and advice managed to swim thru a crack in the rocks. Enter some really dark place eminating raw evil power. With a certain ******* tweaking at the prospect of some undead goliath mob appearing, this chap summons my corpse and leads me back to civilisation. I promptly went to the bank and withdrew all the dosh I had in there, but you guessed it, was happy to do it as a favour.

If you have taken the time to read the drivelings my travels then please spare a moment of reflection for the superb, kind and generous players out there in Norrath.

And more specifically, I honour you Morrene, Yaushi and Masran, you know who you are.

Signing off for now, your bow twanging moonlight prancing Ranger boy, Rut's.

Good to hear it went that well for you and that someone was kind enough to help with that summon. I don't think there's much in the game that can compare to the feeling that you've lost your corpse forever.

Erm... you mention you were headed towards the Warrens. I would assume to get a Shaman Pouch? Heh.. I probably should have warned you about the Hole. But, hey! You got to meet some great people, right? Right?

Keep an eye out for the skeleton guards at the entrance of the newbie garden area if you haven't made it to the Warrens yet
