Note -- Tserrina's Key will NOT open every floor. It'll allow you instant access to the 7th floor, and 7th floor only.

Umm.. I went up ToFS with a group, and got no keys myself. We stayed on the top floor and killed Tserrina once for each of us. Long and Short is I have a master key. It lets me use any mirror in the tower, so yes, it does work for every floor.

Also, there is a Hole key to enter the Hole.
Plus, there is a key to enter the city of Paineel.

The Hole Key can be purchased from a vendor in Paineel for around 116pp to 118pp. Do a Ctrl+F to find the general merchant.

For the Paineel key, you can hail one of the guards, and say "I need the key." You must have amiable faction with the Heretics in order to accomplish that.

In addition, Befallen has a few keys. Although I have not travelled to Najena in awhile, Najena used to require some keys to move around.

Since you mention Keys--Old world to New>
What are Crushbone slave keys 20-24 used for?
I have heard they free the slaves the minotaurs have in Steamfont, but after giving the dwarves the keys they all say thank you I do not need this, you can have it back.
What are they for?

the keys are for the slaves in crushbone (by the mines and over by the trainers camp) the way to find out which key is to give em a copper piece, then they'll say what they need

You know people that post things like rock. Someone had the courtesy and coolness to take their time to help other players. I stopped playing for 2 years and when I returned I found myself forgetting how to do auto attack and forgetting about combat abilities. Seriously felt retarded. The only reason I have been able to ramp back up and play effectively again is because of other players. By extention this site. My first day back a 70 Cleric spent a couple of hours getting me into high level groups. Killing all of Velks just so I could get certain AA's ad on and on. Now a month later I went from 61 to 65, I have some current gear and almost know my **** from a hole in the ground again. All because of other players. There are plenty of other Online games out there and I have played them all. The people playing Everquest is what makes the game great. The EQ community is a huge advantage for Sony. Hope they realize it. Thanks Lewzephyr for being the latest example of this. :)

The name of NPC in Paineel to get Hole Key from is Rallia or simialar spelling, the proper statement made to the skele guards in the newbie area of paineel for Key to Paineel is "I needz keyz", and the best way to get faction with Paineel to get the Paineel key is to kill about 10 or 12 guards in Erudin. If this sounds like fun, trust me, it's more fun than it sounds.

Lewzephyr I would like to sincerely thank you for putting that very nice long list together. I am taking my guild through Planar Progression and was having some great difficulty in finding all the info for them. It is nice to see other players like yourself taking the time to put this together to save others the time and ache. So once again thank you.

There is a trick to get past those locked doors in chardok. Shrink up, put your nose into the door and (shadow step), you will enter that locked room. Only 2 classes that I know of that have shadow step is Necro, and SK. Have fun.

Why does the nose in the door thing sound like an exploit? at least it was in order to get across sirens before. lol

It does allow you to use any mirror in the zone.I dont know if it allows you to open some of the locked doors needed to get certain floor keys or not.I acually never thaught I would be going back to TOFS but low and behold my monks epic 1.5 took me to the 4th floor recently.Man was I happy I could just run right up there w/o having to kill my way up each floor.Fun zone at lower lvls but at lvl 80 its just a waste of time.

Tserina's Key will unlock each door in the tower. On the first level - there are 2 mirrors - One takes you 2nd floor - the 2nd one (used only with Tserina's Key) takes you directly to the 7th floor.

I have keyed a number of toons for TOFS and even PLeveled toons there as well.

Hopes this helps to clear up confusion.

I am not sure if the changes to PoP zone level requirements affected TOFS or not - but I think you will still need keys (or you would have to run to the appropriate door for each level - and mobs can sometimes follow you up a level - or worse - attack you from the lower level (where they are out of melee range and may be out of spell casting range for YOU - but you are in their range).

I hope this helps.

Nethor.

This list really needs to be updated. Places like Decay, etc. are open to anyone at the right level, (no flags required)

I keep coming to this post looking for the new level requirements for older zones and keep not finding it. Then I remembered seeing it posted in the Just starting? Been away and returning? thread.

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=1&mid=117337801626907618&page=3&howmany=50#m121138243650611486

Here's the copy/paste too:

Jonwin wrote:
Many keyed zones from the Ruins of Kunark, Scars of Velious, Shadows of Luclin, Planes of Power, Gates of Discord, Omens of War, Depths of Darkhollow, and Prophecy of Ro have had their key/flag requirements modified. All players that have obtained the key/flag will still be allowed entry into the zones, as will players that have met minimum level requirements for the zones. The zones and minimum level requirements are as follows:

- Required Level 46 -
The Howling Stones
Old Sebilis
Skyshrine to Cobalt Scar

- Required Level 55 -
Sleeper's Tomb
Veeshan's Peak
Vex Thal
Locked areas of the Temple of Ssraeshza

- Required level 57 -
Bastion of Thunder
Halls of Honor
The Temple of Marr
Tower of Solusek Ro
Drunder, The Fortress of Zek

- Required Level 60 -
Plane of Water
Plane of Air
Plane of Fire
Plane of Earth
Ikkinz
Uqua
Yxtta
Kodtaz

- Required Level 62 -
Plane of Time
Inktuta
Qvic

- Required Level 65 -
Txevu
Tacvi

- Required Level 68 -
Anquish

- Required Level 70 -
Dreadspire
Demiplane of Blood

- Required Level 72 -
Theater of Blood
Deathknell

Additionally, I think that any PoP Tier 2 zone is now available at level 46, the level required to zone into PoTranquility. So at 46 I think you can go to Crypt of Decay, Plane of Valor, Plane of Storms, Plane of Nightmare B and Plane of Torment.
