A little question about defense skillFollow

#1 Jan 19 2004 at 5:04 AM Rating: Default
HI,
I am a lv49 shaman and I really want to train my defense skill(my defense skill is just 111 now and hope it is not too late to train it...) I would like to ask, other than hitting by mobs, can I use my pet to hit myself in order to train the skill? If yes, how to do this? And also, is there any methods that I can get my defense skill increase faster?
Thanks for help~^^

As with all combat skills they raise not against creatures of LOWER lvl than yourself - which your pet certainly is. But they raise faster against HIGHER lvl opponents. Just let yourself beat half-dead by some red-conning mob while someone is simultainously healing you and a third one is ready to take the mob down in case of emmergency.

Personally I disgust such methods but since you asked....

PS: Funny though - my own Attack, Defense and Dodge are always fast at max before I raise in lvl :))

Erandi Natasu, an npc right by the entrance to the Warrens in Paineel is great for skilling up both weapons and defense as he only hits for around 19 max damage. He turns light blue at 52 so skilling up on him may become slower then but in the meantime I think he may be worth visiting.

Um, lower level mobs will most certainly raise your skills, the only ones that won't are green con.

Duel a pet class and beat the pet up. Used my shaman's pet spells to raise lagging weapon skills on many many characters. Get the lowest damage weapon you can find, buff your dex/agi and trade swings for awhile.
