A Ranger........Goes shoppingFollow

Once upon a time, the Ranger Rutjosnabet was at home in the glade, sitting on his favourite oaken easy chair and supping a glass of wisp dew when his wife Ruth, stormed in shouting expletives on why Rut always sat around the house doing nothing all day when it was her slaving over the kitchen birch twig fire and cooking for their three mini-rangers Josh, Naomi and Bethany (Ruth, Josh, Naomi and Beth!!)

Alas! when Rut was finally smacked over his green lycra cap with his own fletching kit he decided to go forth and do some shopping and trading. Luckily Rut had been out for the past 13 Seasons foraging and so had many items such as roots, fruits and vegetables but was unsure if these items would sell at the Bazaar and what price to charge. He did also have quite a collection of spider and spiderling silks with which to sell or fashion silk items, but again was unsure on what prices or if they would sell.

Unbeknown to Mrs Ranger, our hero Rut had been busy in his splendiferous lycra suit moonlighting and doing Ranger-grams for frustrated female druids on their hen nights and so had around 50 Plat or so to spend at the Bazaar. He again was not sure what were the best items to buy for his class and level. A friend had mentioned an opel etched Stein mug to increase his Charisma when trying to barter with the local dodgy traders down the market, but what he was really looking for was a tasty magical weapon other than 1HS to get his scores maxed up!!

Anyway, to cut a long story short again Rut decided to call upon the great God of Forums for help.

Yours truly, Rut with a huge lump and field point arrow sticking out of his head from the fletching kit domestic incident and feeling just a little sorry for himself.

P.S. A secret liason between Rut and a hairy female druid could be on the cards from a booking last week down at the Surefall Tavern!!

Alas, good reading, but did not get your point across. Foraged stuff is worth nothing really till higher levels. Silks are worth at least 5pp each. 50 pp is not enough to buy a decent weapon, keep farming silks.

If the Ranger makes it to the Bazar alive He'd be surprised what's to buy for 50p - there are a lot of lore items vendors don't buy that go for even 10p

I can sympathise with you but the only hairy druidess females I have seen are those in Rivervale. Those toes are unmentionably seductive!

However as I am a cleric I am forbidden to partake in those delights and instead succumb to plentiful supplies of Lotus Pie.

May I suggest that you leave your home and instead of relying on your good wifes foraging, that you instead KILL STUFF and bring back the loot of your bloodthirsty need that we all know exists.

That way you can have more platinum pieces in your bulging purse and thus afford better equipment to satisfy your loved one.

Although to answer your question, such platinum could be used to purchase 2 Opal Encrusted Steins that increase both your selling and purchasing power but only to the indigineous servile inhabitants of Norrath.

If you wish to impress the more elite inhabitants you will need to KILL MORE STUFF to eventually win more favours from your wife than an arrow through the head.

Good day.
