Ok guys I need some help, my highest lvl character is 23 and is a druid. I am very excited and interested in starting a Beastlord and would appreciate it if you guys could help me out here. Ok 1 of my questions is what race do you think is best for being a Beastlord, and why? Also what should I put my starting attributes into? What are the main stats you should focus on for the Beastlord? One main thing I am having trouble with is the fact I cannot seem to find all the spells I should have. What websites or places can I find all the spells I need to get at what lvl and where to purchase them from. I know I am missing some spells with my druid and that is why I dont like picking classes with spells cause I know I am missing something. What kind of armor and gear and with what stats should I buy for my beastlord? For now that is all I can think of... so please help me out here, thanks.

The beastlords that abandoned the site that was bought out have moved to http://beastlords.demonshouse.net They're a good bunch of folks to ask bl questions of.
You'll get all kinds of answers to the 'best race' question. Kitties because they're cute, iksar for regen, etc etc, whatever. My BL is iksar, because I wanted a scaled wolf for a warder, no other reason. Regen is great to have though, has saved my tail a few times. But pick the one you like best.
Check out the spell link over there to the left. It will give you a list of spells you get at 9. Some BL spells can be bought from Shaman vendors, just so you know.
Beastlords are wisdom casters, but don't go hog wild on dumping points into wis. You're a fighter too, although your pet will be dealing a good portion (possibly majority) of the damage. I put my points into wisdom and agility, if I remember correctly.
Beastlords are a leather class. Acrylia reinforced is good armor for them, from what I've been told. I'm wearing Wu's fighting (insert name of armor piece here) and a few pieces of acrylia reinforced.
Mind you, this is advice from a 25 beastlord. The people at that site I mentioned would probably have much better advice. =)

My main is a monk, but my beastlord is one of the more fun characters in my account. For one thing, it is what I believe to be the fastest solo leveler I have ever played up to level 30. I could handle all the grime tunnelers, fiends, and shrooms in Paludal until level 18 solo, most of which my alts have had to rest for some time after killing. After some bandit grouping until 23-24 I headed to echo caverns where needlites carried me to 29 in a few days.
For spells, all I can suggest is eq.castersrealm.com. They provide names of vendors for each spell, the area he/she is located in, and an exact loc of the vendor.
Race wise, all of them have their ups and downs. Iksar and trolls have regen, but level 20% slower. Ogres have huge melee stats, but level almost as slowly as the previous two. Vah shir and barbarians level at a more normal pace, but neither of them have the regenerative capabilities or innate power of the evil races. I'd just pick the one with the pet you like. I personally wanted a kitty, so I went ahead and made one. Haven't looked back since. This class is also quite self sufficient from what I've seen, and with the exception of maybe a pair of weapons, almost no twinking is required. Right now I'm wielding a Fallen Froglok's Scepter primary and a Crystalline Spider Fang secondary, with no problems. I keep H2H up with a Polished Steel Ulak. Until I get my epic I really don't see myself using H2H a whole lot, since 1hb and piercing tend to be more powerful. Hope my ramblings help a little.

Beastlord is a great, fun class to play. Stop by EverQuest Beastlords (The new community) and say hello. You'll find plenty of knowledgable Beastlords there who are more than willing to help answer all the questions you may have.

To your question about spells, your best bet is to look up your spells here at Alla. Click on the spell you are looking for and it should tell you where and which merchants sell the spell. Typcially, in addition to BL spell merchants, you will also be looking at the Shammy spell merchants.
The BL is a combo Monk and Shammy pet class. You are a WIS-based caster. So not only do you need to boost wisdom but also your STA, STR, DEX and AGI for you to better able to fight toe to toe with the mobs.
For gear, I have one suggestion if you have the money for it, is get a Phase Spider Carapace. This is one of the best sellable chest pieces in the game.
