since when are bards songs level restricted??? :: World of Warcraft

now i know for a fact that a few years ago (pre pop or loy) that the 55th Ae life/mana song would work on ANY toon in the area.

yesterday i was using my 2nd account (has a 35th wiz on it) to port my bard around as i did the relay part of my epic.

2 songs WOULD not work on my wiz.

1. the Ae 55th level life/mana song. just never appeared in the wiz bard box. just like nothing was working or being played, was not getting the msg you feel refreshed either.

2. travle song. did not work. so i had to 49 selo's, and invis song as my wiz is a DE and not welcome in the karanas by those smelly humans.

since when did any of our songs get this type of restriction and is this a known issue or is it a bug i found?

When they fixed KEI, they made it so all spell and song effects over lvl 50 would not affect characters below lvl 46. It used to be worse -- when they first changed it, if you had someone in your area of effect under 46, you'd get a "So-and-So is too low in level to be affected by your song" for each person. Trying to sing AE mana in PoK or the Nexus meant you were spammed to hell with failure messages. Finally they changed that.. thank God.
