Reward from LDoNFollow

Upon Buying LDoN I read on pg4. "Because you purchased the retail version of THe Lost Dungeons of Norrath, you are entitled to a reward." That use to be the case but now even if you buy LDoN /claim does not work. After installing LDoN and registering the expansion you will find out that once online and you try /claim it will respond with "Your account has no pending rewards." So watch yourselves in the future for SOE is luring people into buying their products by telling them they will receive a reward, but in reality you receive nothing. How do I know all of this, you ask? Well I have two accounts and I purchased LDoN for both of them and tried out the /claim. Nothing happened...I petition a GM they said they would look into it...I waited weeks and still nothing...I petitioned again and the GM told me to fill out a Bug report and so I did...I waited for another couple of weeks and still no reward...It has now been two months and they have done nothing to contact me or reimburse me. So I warn everyone that has not purchased LDoN if you believe you will receive a reward SOE has tricked yet another victim.

I have the same problem. I emailed my server GM, was told it was a bug in the last patch and it will be fixed in the next patch.

If it gets fixed, great. If not, no big deal. It's just a bag.

Sorry I have to correct myself it has not been two months but it has been more than a month. Tonight I finally received a tell from a GM and they told me to fill out another Bug report. And I think he said that they will be fixin the problem on the next patch. Crossin my fingers but not holdin my breath.

When I bought my LDoN, I decided to go ahead and click the little button to auto-buy it, then sit back and relax as it was downloaded for me. Everything was cool, it worked, and I was LDoNing with everyone else... For about a week. One day I logged in, and it says my LDoN isn't working, some sort of problem with my order. I'm certain my card wasn't denied, plus I doubt they would let me play for a week before running the thing. I tried to get help from the GMs, who just said "Go to the store and buy it." Finally I did just that, though I'm not sure I was ever refunded the $30.00 or whatever I paid for my LDoN download. Careful with this new expansion (GoD?) if you decide to do the quickie order, you may end up driving to CompUSA after all...

I downloaded one copy and bought one. I received the bag with no problem. I have not had a problem with the copy I downloaded (except for minor bag envy).

Thats ok, I go into EQ chat when I found out my /claim wasnt working and they said to a bug report ingame, so I did, a few hours later I get a response back from an in-game GM that its not a bug, but an account problem and I should contact SOE's account department. So I emailed them, I get a response back the next day telling me nothing is wrong with my account and that its a bug. They referred me to do a /bug report. Round and round they go... I hope that its simply a bug and that the EQ patch team knows about it, since no one seems to know anything concrete, only that perhaps the next patch will fix it.

I was sitting next to my friend and he accidentally clicked on Buy LDoN instead of Later on my computer. I didn't think nothing of it because usually they would ask you more to confirm that you really want to purchase thisandthat. Anyway, after clicking that, a purchase was made just like that. A click of a mouse button. I don't know if they let you download the whole LDoN expansion again if someone that purchased the download version were to format their hard drive. That is my biggest fear and I don't want to learn the hard way.

Someone told me that they were going to fix this bug/whatever on the next patch and I'm still waiting for that patch? SOE will give you a run around every time b/c they don't want to take responsiblity for themselves. Getting really fed up with them.

I purchased 2 copies of LDON retail when it first went live and received a bag on both accounts without any problem. So SOE saying I would receive a "reward" was no trickery at that time. Now I am not saying that since launch day there hasn't been some sort of problem going on in claiming these "rewards" because I have seen a number of people complain about not being able to /claim their's. All I am saying is that too many people are so quick to yell "Foul" "Fraud" "Conspiracy" "Unfair I downloaded mine". But at the same time, SOE should at least acknowledge the problem and stop giving people the run around.
