This is kinda a quick question/list of known advantages and disadvantages of the Drogmors/horses. I just got one for my Mage and so far am quite impressed.

Advantages of the Drogmor/horse that I have noticed are:

1. While not moving you will have recieve the mana regen as if you were sitting.
2. You will generate less aggro as you are never really considered in the sitting position.
3. Your run speed does not seem to be affected by being encumbered.

Disadvantages of the Drogmor/horse that I have noticed are:

1. Not being able to duck out of casting a spell
2. The slow acceleration of the drogmor/horse
3. While not moving you will NOT recieve the hp regen as if you were sitting. (Example if standing or on drogmor I currently get 5 hps a tick. While sitting I get 8 hps a tick)

Now for the questions.

1. Are there any other advantages that I may have have missed?
2. Does anyone who plays a Necro/Shaman find a drogmor/horse useful?
3. Does the lack of hp regen affect your playstyle and cause you to have problems with Lich/Canni?

Thanks.

One disadvantage specifically to horses is obstruction of view - the head gets in the way. As a cleric it doesn't bother me since I use F-keys and hotkeys to target, but for more offensively-geared casters this causes a problem. Drogmor heads don't get in the way, but the drogmor runs as if it's humping. *Bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce*!

Slow day at work so YES I AM replying to every thread...

Advantages
4. You look cool. 20 casters lined up while nuking look like a calvery charge is about to happen.
5. You can make a hotkey to interupt spells
/dismount
/duck

A few disadvantages you missed:

4. The slowest are actually slower than run 3 (has this changed? I think I had SoE while mounted and got full effect of tha spell)
5. You can target your self instead of what you click on. When I am Shrunk or In gnome illusion this is no where NEAR as big an issue.
6. You eat food at 2x your normal rate.
7. Some illusions do not work while mounted.

As I only play a Chanter I can not answer your other Inquiries.

If you are a Shaman you can shrink yourself twice to remove the obstruction of the Horses head.

Also you cannot use bearform when on a horse so you forgo the extra 5/10 wisdon you get from bearform.

And playing a Shaman it was the best 10K I ever spent.
