Few places display the prowess of the dwarven masons quite like the grand dam over Loch Modan. It seems like the perfect place to take a fishing excursion, with lush greenery surrounding a beautiful lake. If only things were so simple.

The region of Loch Modan is buttressed by two passes to the west and one to the north that lead to the other Dwarven lands. As these passes are all heavily guarded, one has to wonder if the Dwarves are trapping dangers in or out. Kobold miners have encampments throughout the west, and troggs live both in the south and on the islands in the loch. The excavation site is also filled with troggs, and ogres live in caves in the far northeast. There have even been sightings of Dark Irons attempting to sabotage the dam! Unfortunately, there just isn't enough Dwarven power to contain all these threats.
