The quest attribute says "raid". U can solo it.
- speak with squire
- escort marshal to the destination
- watch the show from distance

You dont need to do anything. Bolvar will do all the work for u. Just grab the golden "?" when the slaughter is done.

i have done all the escort into stormwind, and arrive at the keep the lady wasn't here, so now im trying to speak to the marshall at the gate of stormwind and nothing happen. so do i have to abandonned the quest and try to talk to him again in BRD or what ? plz i need ur help

Tried quest 3 or 4 times on the 23 rd July/o6. Didn't seem to work...Windsor's respawn seemed out of synch with the key Npc's in Stormwind Keep. I would arrive at the Keep with Windsor and noticed that the Dragon Lady was there while Bolvar was not there. It also happened the other way around for some odd reason. If you see this happening, the quest will not activate to the final grand battle I found. One of the 4 times it failed she actually spawned into the dragon, but that was it.......the quest stalled there, Windsor disappered, FAILED. This happened when there was alot of activity in SW and there were people in the Keep being a nuisance.laughing at me.....saying I'm wasting my time etc etc. So i waited till there were very few people on (1:30 am PAC time) and had a Guildie go to the keep and gave me a thumbs up on the status on all the NPC's. Got to the KEEP, let it all play through without doing a damn thing. Just activate and let it all play out and Voila.....Quest Completed!!!!!

No problem with this quest solo. Just stand back like everyone says. I just targeted Winsor's target and helped with range DPS. Got aggro once, feigned... no problem at all except for the poor Palli that tried to help (warned him in advance) one milisec and he was dead.

while escorting windsor there were lots of messages in local and world defense sayin SW is under attack. the horde were raidin SW. we reached the keep without seein the horde raid and continued on with the quest. towards the end of the fight bolvar was on 72% life when the horde reached us. they killed bolvar and ran/died. they left 2 elites left and it was me (59 hunter) and my 60 druid friend. since all the guards were dead from the horde i ended up kitin (with heals) until our guild ended an AB and all came at the battlemaster in SW. i instantly got heals from 3 priests and 3 druids at the same time and we pwned the elites. i was so happy that my guild came to help. i then went to the deeprun tram and found the horde raid. i alerted my guild (who had ported to IF (the lazy bastards)) and we were standin in the rooms near the gnome king. the horde got ready and charged the gnome king and we instantly came at them. the battle went for a surprisingly long time but we won and got honor. lowbies joined in and the horde mages AoEd to kill them. the horde then resed again in that room and half of us had left. luckily by then all of IF knew and some of the ppl at the battle masters came and we slaughtered the horde again and again. was quite embarassing for the horde since they had nef on farm status for 6 months and we had downed rag for the first time the day b4. it was a fun day

i did this guest at level 56

All you should do is sit back and try to tag as many of the spawns as possible, then let bolvar waste them all and collect exp. mission accomplished.

I just soloed this as a hunter. Just sit back and shoot, Bolvar holds ALL of the aggro. Just dont get close the do an AOE melee attack, i saw a bunch of lowbies go up and die.

I haven't done this quest at all. But I saw it happening in the keep. I was level 27 or something like that. When the dragons spawned I started shooting at them standing in the corridor. When dragons started dying 2 orange of them gave me 480 xp each.. the red one got me 780 xp... and that's without a single hit (which would probably kill me anyway)... so here's advice: take a ranged weapon (i used a gun, 'cause I'm a warrior), sit there and wait for the show, participating in it from a distance... is it a bug?

if you fail this quest you dont have to abandon, but if you do abandon that's ok too, you dont have to go anywhere to restart the quest. just wait for the npc's in the keep to respawn into position. then go wait where you first saw windsor come up and you'll see him eventually ride up and you can begin the quest again.

If raid groups of level 60s get all schooled by bolvar I doubt anything in a quest will kill him.

I was in talking to the king regarding another quest, then they come in with him, and bang there was Onyxia guards all over, and i was only lvl 35 died in one stroke :-)

So dont be there as low lvl if he comes in :-D

You are supposed to takle a raid group with you, say about 10 people, a proper well organised group,

2 warriors
2 palys
2 preists/druids
2 rogues
2 mages


One of each in either of the 2 groups in raid formation and take the dragons down one by one. You will beat this quest :)



before it was bugged, It was not meant to be able to be solo'd

I say it is still bugged but in a different way, the boss balivor doesn't spawn when he should and when he does it takes too long.

Ok, I follow him.. he starts chatting with the guards at the very beginning, then despawns and quest fails..

What am I missing here?
