Objectives

Travel to Stormwind City and venture to the city gates. Speak with Squire Rowe so that he may let Marshal Windsor know that you have arrived.

Description

You are to meet with Windsor at the gates of Stormwind.

What Windsor is about to unveil will shake the very foundation of the kingdom!

Do not attempt to venture there alone, <Name>. You must amass an army! Gather your compatriots. To arms!

Completion

Before we begin, I ask that you first gather an army. We face a dragon, after all!

Head to the gates of Stormwind. You may have to wait a few seconds for Marshal Windsor to spawn at the gates, once he does, talk to him to continue the quest chain.

For those saying they can't get him to spawn, make sure you talk to Squire Rowe at the gates! Windsor won't be there waiting for you, you have to talk to Rowe, who will call for Windsor. Rowe will walk to the edge of the gates and kneel, and return to the spot he was standing when you found him. Wait about 15-20 seconds and Windsor will ride up on his horse.

i got disconnected and when i logged on again the q wasnt in q log... not in BS.. and windsor does not show up again :S what should i do ??

Actully i abandoned the quest, then sat at the gates again and he showed up again, it let me redo the quest. But alas, i still fail the quest. whats going on here?

I am had the same problem as alot of you here. We guided windsor into the keep. When he got there nothin happaned at all(the queen didnt even turn into onyxia), we stood and waited there for like 8-10min then it said we failed. Blizzard should rly look into this bug.

this is the only high end quest that lower levels can help with (rezzing healing being cannon fodder ect.) or is it the one after this either way on feathermoon people seem to swarm the keep when someone does this quest (i'm one of them)

if you fail this quest one time, no worry. You'll just need to wait for the Lady Prestor to respawn, once she does the Quest gets "reset". Head for the gates again and wait for Windsor to appear, it'll take some time depending on how long it was since Lady Prestor had respawned. My party waited somewhere between 4-8minutes after the lady (she's really the onyxia) respawned until the Windsor-guy reappeared on his horse at the gates of stormwind.

Anyone know which quest I have to start from when I failed to do this in SW keep? Marshal Windsor dont want to give this quest again :(.

I find out that when you fail, you need only wait until Marshal Windsor come, it will take some time.

btw. Bolvar will kill all dragonkins easily without help. I failed last time because I healed him and one of dragonkins attacked me :). Now I only healed him first time with LoH (+30% to armor for 1min is always good :)) and blessed him with Sanctuary. After battle he had 39% of life.

or do you HAVE to be in a raid group or smth..?

i've been standing at the gates for several minutes yet no sights of Marshal Windsor. also ive meet a couple of ppl having the same problem :S.

are we doing something wrong here T___T

i havent tried this, but my guess is that you could abandon the quest and talk to marshall maxwell at morgan's vigil to get the quest again. tedious, yes, but hey, you're the one that failed ;)

You dont need a raid group for this at all, you dont even need a 5-man. Just activate it, let Onyxia tranform, then run like hell into a room. The guards can solo all of them.

To keep the quest from bugging you must make shure all 3 NPC's are spawned in Stormwind keep and I think the guy outside needs to be spawned too. If any of these NPC's are dead (due to raids or failed quest) then the quest will bug when you talk to lady prestor.

This quest is bugged, When we got there the queen turned into onyxia after talking with windsor and then all the talking stopped... we waited for 5 min and then it said quest failed... so I abandoned and tried to restart by looking for him outside gates... he is no where to be found. MAJOR BLIZZARD BUGG!! I NEED onyxia key... anyone else run into this?

Same here. We got into the throneroom, Windsor turned the queen into onyxia and nothing happend...
Canceled the quest, but i cant find the npc where i can restart the quest. HELP!!!

Basically ride out of the gates of Stormwind and Reginald Windsor will spawn you follow him all the way to the king and stand on outside walls and let Highlord Bolvar do all the work and after your done watching the quest is complete.
