Objectives

Sergeant Hammerhill wants you to use the Incendiary Explosives to collapse the sinkholes southwest and northwest of Valiance Keep.

Description

The Scourge are showing no sign of letting up, <Name>. It's those blasted sinkholes; they connect to tunnels all the way to Icecrown for all we know. Giant undead worms burrow under the ground to create them.

If there's something years of mining has taught me it's that without support beams, tunnels will cave in easily after an explosion.

Take these explosives and place them at the entrance to the sinkholes up on the ridge beyond the beach to the west. Come back after you've collapsed them.

Progress

Did you succeed, <name>? We need to slow down the Scourge or Valiance Keep will be overrun.

Completion

Excellent work, <name>. Without you, Valiance Keep might've not held against the attackers. Thanks to your help we'll live to fight another day.

Additional Notes

  • Northern around 54,63.

For those without coords, the Northern sink hole is near Farshire. The southern one is upon the cliffs between Valiance Keep and the Riplash Strand. ~ChihXian

Not every one uses garlic when they cook - does that mean it should be excluded from all recipes. If you like wandering around looking for things, or reading long explanations, fair enough, but don't knock us who like to use the tools that are available. I assume you do not use appliances like washing machines or vacuum cleaners because they make life easier? Lumptastic's post was perfect, location and what to do. Thank you Lumptastic :)

A little sensitive are we meganbtoo? A simple comment was made and it appears you are overly sensitive about this. Some of us don't use addons and I believe Oldhoburn was simply asking for someone to post info to help those of us who don't use them. You request your play style to be tolerated, I suggest you tolerate other's styles as well.

NOt the slightest bit sensitive - just figure the 'sniff - I don't use addons' snooty brigade also walk every where as the couldn't possibly lower themselves to use motorized transport and why on earth are they even using computers - slabs of stone and chisels were perfectly adequate for our forefathers - why should we move on. Of course, they don't use Windows or Linux, they write their own operating systems, having built their own computers, having mined and smelted the metals.... You get the drift. Not using addons is snobbishness - you still have to get someone else to do the work for you, and spend an age carefully describing where the location is so you can find it. I repeat what I said, the details given by Lumptasic where perfect.

I strongly disagree. I use coords now, but I didn't earlier because WoW @#%^ed up when I did earlier, and they actually annoyed me like hell. So some people have no option, and also, I only use the coords when I have no idea at all, because I like reading quests completely so that I find out myself. That way, I remember it better than going to a site every time that I get a quest to read some coords I forget 5 mins later anyway... And maybe others like it that way, like I do, and therefore don't bother downloading/installing addons. So it's not snobbishness

Actually, for those without addons, coordiantes are stil useful if you are willing to do third grade math. :) Since coords are a simple percentage system, it is not difficult to find the southern sinkhole by going to them iddle of the map (from left to right) and not-quite 3/4 of the way (75%) south, from the northern edge of the map.

The Northern Sinkhole is around 54,63.

Sothern Sinkhole is near 50,71

There are two holes at each location. Just use the explosives when you're standing on them.
