I spent a lot of time looking for Bhag'thera. I typed in /tar Bhag then went to some of the coordinates found on this sight. Found him around 49.2 20. He was not where quest helper said he would be. Be careful there were 2 hidden panthers guarding him. beat him with no problems. lvl 38 hunter

found him, he is so weak, found him north of the ogrees

could not solo it.. was 34 pally.. used lay of hands and healed twice.. couldnt cause damage to him at all much.. so had to flee by stunning him.. got a nice druid to help me later.. but ya.. this cat is tougher than the other tiger boss.

Found in the 49ish area, the top white mark on the map was there every time, never at the bottom, wasn't too tough to kill as level 39 or 40 hunter. Then went right back to tame it with Concussion shot and a trap

Look at around 47,28, this guy can be found over there. That's southwest of the ogre mound.

So I was hunting her last night. After 2 hours, and me being the only person there..she wouldn't pop.
I came here to check cords, and possible other pop areas. Still nothing.

I shouted how I really hated her, and quickly got a tell from someone asking if I had just killed her. Said "No, she won't pop"
He replied "I know, I've been killing tigers there off and on for the last 2 days. I've yet to see her"

Now was he really there for 2 day? I don't know, but I was there for 2 hours and gaining with a no show.

So I opened a ticket to talk to a GM.
Thinking maybe there could be some glitch to her not showing up.
Now I don't know if they read the ticket, but after 30min she did show up, and not at any of the cords listed in some of the convos here.
After killing my way to her, I took her down as a 37 hunter w/ pet. Was easy.

Hit "r" and sent a tell back to the guy, saying I had killed her. He was there in the quickness to see where I killed her at.

I stayed to help him kill/camp. She popped a tad bit farther down from where I killed her.

Someone in guild mada a joke that the GMs where watching, and then read the ticket and said "Oh man, he is really pissed. Hit the Bhag'thera pop button.....now!"

Man, did they nerf Bhag'thera bad in the 3.2.x patches. I had had such trouble with my appropriate-leveled Warrior (39 I think) when he was an Elite; now that he's a Normal, I just killed him with my level 36 Holy Priest, and didn't break a sweat. Nor did I get lower than 2/3 Health.

I'd give you tactics, but there aren't any. Just the normal Priestly things: go in with Shield up, Holy Fire, Power Word: Pain, Mind Blast, Smite twice, and back to Holy Fire. Renew the Shield and Shoot.

I was expecting to use at least a Dense Stone Statue or a potion, and didn't have to. I've had fights with level 40 Jungle Stalkers that were tougher than this. I'm not particularly well equipped either-- Greens, some outdated for my level, blues that I made as a Jewelcrafter (ditto), and a Deadwood Sledge that doesn't get used much 'cause I mostly shoot the opponents. Mostly I'm using Rackham's Tiller, a Frost wand from a quest in Desolace.

So, for what it's worth, don't feel that you have to get a group or level way up to take on Baggy. I suspect Tethis will be similarly easy, and I have a secret technique for killing Bangalesh which I may have posted on that page.

Solo'd with a 35 hunter. I had to scare him to bandage, but that was it.

Solo'd as a 38 mage. Was a scary battle though. I did it first try only using a mana jade. Very close. He had me down to about 20 health in the end. Very weak for a level 40 elite.

Okay, I just tamed him today, at lv 40. After reading through, I see a lot "he's so epic" comments...

No, he doesn't have 4000 armor... he has around 2850 armor for me (which is modified from some of my abilities)... and my lv 39 SM hyena has a higher DPS than Bhag'thera does... so what makes him 'epic' if a dog under his lv is still preferable to use?

However, he does come with Dash 2 which I learned and is a bit handy... but I'm sorely disappointed after reading about how epic he is and finding out that he's truly not....

Easily soloable as 36 hunter. Just use mend-pet alot, so even when your mana hits 0 the pet can finish the job.

If he is not on the North side of the Mosh'ogg Ogre Mound check on the south side of it. Just found him over there.

From what I've been able to gather, basically all cats should have the same stats at the same lvl, right? But why does my lvl 46 Bhag'Thera have much higher dps (54,6 with a base dmg of 74 and top of 94) than my lvl 50 King Banglash that only have 64-82 dmg with a dps of 47,5? I've taught cobra reflexes to both of them and accordingly they both have 1.54 attack speed. Should'ny Bangalash have higher dmg since he is higher lvl?

Tamed him yesterday but she only came with dash. I think I've seen somewhere that she can also learn Prowl. So... can she, and, if so, at what lvl?

Edit: Tamed a shadowmaw panther to get the prowl skill but it doesn't appear in the pet skill list, what is needed to store it there? Do you need to earn a pets loyalty or something?

Soloed him on my 49 hunter, with one add.
Fairly easy, tracking him down was the hard bit. found him at 49.23

I actually soloed this, I wanted to laugh and cry in joy. lvl 41 Holy priest. it beat my clothy butt down to 111 health, and I managed to wand it to death at the last few seconds while oom. Mind you it took 2 times to do it

With a 38 Hunter, I killed this one alone. Found between the bend in the road and the ogre mound. I don't have coords.

Soloed her on my level 38 Rogue.. quite a hard fight though, died the first time and had about 100 health the second time.

Found her just south of the road into zul'gurub.

Me 37 Hunter (with 36 Pet Cat)
Wifey 35 Druid

Set pet on Bhag'thera until it got a few whacks in.

Started firing a few arrows in and boxed wifeys druid with heals on the cat.

Managed it with one healing potion due to the popping add.

Looted and got some nice xp and pants to boot.

----Along the way -----

Stayed around the spawn point taking on Shadowcats (nice drops on their manes) and got a nice blue mace of a tiger that went for a cool 25 gold. Lovely.

Also discovered a Blood Elf and her Horde lover Orc...The Blood Elves have such a cutting laugh...boiled my blood.
