Just got both the of the parts and almost to lvl 50 in a random run i decided to tank for witch consisted of mainly casting classes :D
Right now I'm a prot pally. Did some 29 twink pvp for a while to save up on marks before respecing and leveling- now I'm not sure if I want to respec again and go do some more PvP with the combined or just stick as a tank and lvl up quickly>.<

This is quite possibly the most overrated weapon in the game. I can't tell you how many players have begged for runs and salivated over this with their 'OMG! I have one of the swords! I need the other so I can get my EPIC!' It's good for ret palies but that's about it, yet I see even hunters crapping their pants over this. You can get the much better Ice Barbed Spear for significantly less effort. Heck even a noob hunter can sit around AV and be useless and still get it.

I am a PVE Arms warrior who just got this sword. But before i got this i used the Kang with Crusader enchant. I do way more dmg with the axe and crit more often... but the axe is a lvl 44 weapon and this is a 50, should i vendor this sword and use the axe and if so, how long should i use it? What weapon do i want after this sword/axe?

I had both swords drop for me over 4 runs in ZF. Won the first sword on a Need roll against a pally. On my fourth run Jan'thraze dropped. I wasn't expecting it to drop at all considering how low the drop rate is, I was quite suprised. I had to beg a hunter in my party to not roll on Jan'thraze when it dropped, lol. He wanted to need it, thank god my whole party convinced him to pass. It's NOT a hunter sword.
I'm a Lvl 47 pally right now and I'm excited to get to 50 to use this sword.

jang thraze dropped before i even knew its existence...me and some pally rolled and i rolled like a 32...luckily he rolled a 12 [as u do] i giggled silently

i was pretty pleased and as soon as i saw i could get an epic from em im like "helll yerrrr" so i started doin ZF every chance i got...my mate, whos a hunter, just got Zin'rokh, destroyer of worlds and he was pretty pleased so he offered some runs to try it out lol....he shreded thru like 4 runs but it didnt drop

then a 70 mage and 70 priest offered a run or two if they got all the mageweave...me and my 2 lvl 45 mates where like "yer foshizzle manizzle" so we did it and on the second it dropped

i was prdy pleased and now gotta wait..got fiery on it AND IT BETTER SHOW cause if it does itd look radness

after like 30 runs the chief dropped his sword... sul'thraze looks awesome!
ret pally ftw (there was no warrior in my guild interested in it, so a guildie ran me thru ZF until i got bot parts)

man i remember when i was lvl 44 and the Jang thraze dropped at this party i was in, me and this other warrior rolled for it and i still remember the numbers that made me sh*t myself. he rolled a 98, i rolled a full 100. after that roll he logged off. i guess he must have thrown his computer at the wall

anyways then i spent like 40g on runs through ZF just for Antu Sul and on the 17th run it dropped for me. luckely i was ran through so i had no competition but i was so happy i had paid my runner 30g :D.

anyway still waiting for the epic and ive heard all the good stuff about it.

When i was level 42, after doing many SM runs in hope of getting the set, and realising plate is much better, my guild mates asked me did i want to join them in a ZF run. Anyway i joined them and Sang'thraze dropped! My guildmates let me have it and so we continued. We didnt do the chief that time.

The next time i was in ZF (tanking with sang'thraze :P )when we faught the Chief, Big bad pauldrons dropped and my guildies let me have it.

After that i was talking to a friend who was level 61 about stuff. He had gotten his epic mount and was so happy he said he help me with something, so i asked would he help me do ZF for Jang'thraze. He said sure and the night we did it, it dropped! Yay for me! But i was like level 45/6 then so i duel wielded them on my fury warrior till i got to level 50 and then combined them.

This sword is awesome. Its effect (which is similar to unholy methinks) goes off quite regularly, and has helped me often enough. Im gonna level up my enchanting and put either unholy or life stealing on it. Just gotta save up some dream dust and then grind major sta on shield.


On a side note, my warrior friend was going for this aswell. Jang'thraze dropped for him and he got it, but when the brother sword some retard rogue needed. But these swords are awesome tanking weapons and there are better weapons out there for rogues. If you are a rogue or a hunter, please let the warrior or palladiin have. Sure the hunter may want the epic, but for the love of god theres a reason why you have awesome ranged attacks. Dont vito them in favour of some dodgy close combat. Paladins, and warriors in particular are much more suited for these swords. Sadly Sang'thraze never dropped again for my friend so he vendored Jang'thraze in disgust.


And for all you warriors and pallies out there, this sword is awesome. Get it, love it.

Im a lvl 45 rogue, and got both of them at lvl 44, by my first 2 runs at ZF. I needed on the deflector, because mine was much worse, then the others told me at the other run to get the other one too. the worst, that i wanted to use that epic for RP-ing.. but rogues cant use two-handed sword.. - . -

Well to all you who have done several runs I ran it the first time with my pally and got both swords in one shot. But now I half to wait 5 levels :(

the 2 swords that make it are great tanking weapons IMO

it got a little change on the graphics in 2.0.1... ? The "unholy" thing seems to be gone and the marks inside the blade is diffrent...

Got both of the swords in total 5 runs for my paladin.

i just got the sword of the cheif and made this...to bad im 70 and its useless for me lol

i would have this by now but a stupid rogue need-rolled on jang'thraze. of all the items to roll on that i wanted (and could have put to much better use that that noob), i can't believe it was the one with a 3% drop chance. i'm buying ZF runs until i get jang. if you're a high level alliance player on Wildhammer, whisper Laihendi for an offer.

It only took me 4 runs to get this sword on my Belf pala. First Jang'thraze dropped when I was being boosted at lvl 40. At that time I didn´t realize how lucky I was. so when I was lvl 45 and on my 4th run through ZF Sang'thraze dropped and I went nuts when lvl 46 warrior needed it too but I won and left group almost immediately. Cant wait to get to LVL 50!!!

i got the first sword today i was like Righteous (was the whole reason i was there) the cheef dropped the pauldrons i was like Righteous
ran a second time and bam the second one dropped and i was like ok im never comming back here...!
luckely i have a guild that ran my belf through for me to get it now i need to lvl 8 times to use it i can even make the sword for 3 more lvls cause oyu need to equip it. in response to Ice Barb i see them every where and i dont have the will to go through god knows how many AV's to get it at least this way i got exp ^.^

ran it40 ish times for the second sword back when i was a lowbie, finally dropped and another pally needed it, but i won... beat that bastard.. seal of command with this proc ftw!

Today on 3/8/07 I got a whisp bout if I would like to come and run ZF. I thought about it for a sec looked at the clock and thought what the heck. This was my first time running ZF on my lvl 47 Belf pally so i was hoping to get some good gear. about 10 min into the run a Percisialy Calibrated Broomstick drops so that was really cool, i lost the roll of course with my bad luck. So we get to the first boss and easily beat him and what do ya know the first sword drops. I knowing what it was instantly rolled need. In my group was another Belf pally who asked to roll need and did but amazingly i won the roll by 8. Which got me smiling and wishing and praying that the next sword would drop sometime when sul' thaze would actually be of use to me. But we worked our way through the instance with ease and we finally get to the final boss. By this time i know the odds our against me but, i was really hoping for some big bad pauldrens. We drop the boss in a matter of secs and i go to see what dropped then all the sudden my jaw dropped... There on my screen was the second sword. I was speechless. I am most thankful that I had a group that automatically all passed on the sword and gave it to me. The other Belf Pally Wuzzi whom i have the upmost respect now made my day. Thank-you and good luck to everyone in their search for the swords..

Why are warriors such a whiny bunch of babys? No other class whines about weapons like a warrior. It's annoying as hell and not so tuff. I solo'd for mine. Less whineing, more grinding and get it baby warriors!
