Found an Iridescent Pearl (in a big clam) in under 30m killing various Spritelashes in The Shattered Strand in Azshara,

Good luck... it does have a low drop rate...

After grinding again but then to Swamp of sorrow ( all the way to the east) murlocs

i killed the whole beach 4 times and gues what there was a drop x8 times

Next time all grind at Swamp of sorrows

I kill monstrous or March and this atem i loot from the big mouth clam. I kill 20 mobs..and i catch one pearl. And you? bye :)) Ps. Ty for this page...

i guess this wont help low levels much but my best farming spot is beach west of southshore. full of lvl 28-30 murlocs which drop thick shelled clams. 15 mins farming, 40 clams = 5 iridescent pearls and 1 small lustrous one.

Like so many others, I wanted to make the Shadowsilk Boots, which require two Iridescent Pearls as well as several Spider's Silk. Now, both of these go for relatively high prices on the AH; not 7g as a poster would have you believe (at least, not on Silver Hand), but 1-2g each, which I was unwilling to pay.

As it happened, my level 41 Paladin hadn't yet done the Southshore quests htat require killing lots of Murlocs and Daggerspine Nagas, so I headed up there after getting lots of Spider's Silk. I went through the whole quest series- 20 specific kills, 30 more for the heads (which have a 33% drop rate... indicating that two out of three Murlocs have no heads), then 16 Naga. Plus of course the incidental goobers that popped up when you were trying to hit something else.

I got about 30 Big=Mouth Clams as drops, and out of them, one single solitary Iridescent Pearl. And not a single Green item dropped along the way. But I did get the quests done, which was worth a little, and I did get the pearl.

But next time I'm just going to post to the Trade channel "Trading my Spider's Silk for your Iridescent Pearl, 1 to 1." They sell for about the same amount, so why not?

Got 17 clams from bluegill marsh, got 2 Iridescent and 1 small lustrous.Good deal,eh?

I think the price for these in the AH on any server is ridiculous! I wish Blizzard would make items like this slightly less rare or hard to get.

My party picked up about...5 or 6 of these in BFD before we got our asses kicked at the hard part.

i found one in a chest in vul'gol ogre mound in duskwood, how it got there, dont ask me XD

Got a 50 thick shelled clams drop update from the stupid bluegill murlocs in the wetlands. Here it goes:

50 tangy clam meat

There ya go, I hope my efforts were a statiscal fluke, I HATE MURLOCS.

(They did drop 15 greens and a gargoyle's bite, but no pearls ARGH)

Opened another 50 Thick-shelled Clams with the following results: 50 Tangy Clam Meat, 4 Iridesent Pearls and 3 Small Lustrous Pearls. Once again all in Bluegill Marsh.

Grand Totals: 100 Thick-shelled Clams
6 Iridescent Pearls
6 Small Lustrous Pearls
100 Tangy Clam Meat

Seems going price in Ironforge is around 1g for Iridescent Pearls and Small Lustrous weren't selling too well.

I found one of these in a Thick-shelled Clam ( with Tangy Clam Meat ) that dropped off a Bluegill Muckdweller in Bluegill Marsh ( Wetlands, North of Menethil Harbour ).

Must have killed 30-40 before I found it, so rare.

Well, I'm going to kill turtles and naga in Black Fathon because I need to raise my cooking skill a few points and tangy clam meat is one of the only things left I can obtain to raise it. So while I collect the clam meat, I'll be looking out for iridescent pearls. I'll let you know.

I have found 3 of these pearls in Gnomeregan. They were Grime-Encrusted Objects, and when used in the machines to remove the grime, I was pleasantly surprised to find these!

Well the pearls are elusive unless ya want lessers.

I'm rather disgusted and flustered with the general drop rate of ingredients needed for crafting and AH prices on items necessary to craft with.

Found these pearls in the instance dungeon in the Strand.I think both came off Snapclaw's.I used WR to upload todays info on them.On the vendor selling pearls:Someone sells to vendor and till you leave or sell another item you can still buy that item back for what they paid you for it.The vendors listed are popular "unload" spots.This should be looked into if thats the case.Generating false info and/or old info that should be removed.None sell them.
