Anyone know if he drops in the pool just outside where you appear when you port to IF? Theres about 20 peeps fishing at the forlorn cavern, and noone at the pool... I been trying at forlorn cavern for just over FIVE hours, and gone from 313-388 fishing, and still nothing...

After 2 hours... 226 Mud snappers, 83 Catfish, 65 Small fish, 3 19lb Catfish, 1 lesser mana pot, and 1 17lb Catfish... And still no Achievement

Allakhazam lists the drop percentage on so many other game items, I'd love to see it here. I just skilled my fishing from 290 to 401 in IF, and I didn't catch Old Ironjaw. As near as I can tell, no one else did either (I didn't see any Achievement notification that they had).

YES! FINALLY! Took me just under 3 and a half hours of constant fishing in the Forlorn Cavern in Ironforge to catch Old Ironjaw! I was so happy that I was left alone in order to accomplish this. There were a couple of moments that I thought I was gonna get killed but I thought of something that saved me from being attacked. As soon as I saw any alliance players, I immediately /hug them. That was the universal code that said "hey i'm friendly, have mercy and don't kill me".

If you are Horde and want to accomplish the Old Ironjaw achievement, get into Ironforge, Forlorn Cavern, stand or sit at the very back, have lots of patience and enough energy drinks to keep you from falling asleep, /hug anybody who comes near you and pray they don't kill you. if that doesn't work, create an alliance toon, get into general chat and plead with everyone to leave the horde toon alone.

I have been trying to fish for Old Ironjaw for 3 days now and still haven't caught him! It's a lot harder to try and catch him when you're a horde lvl 73 toon trying to fish in alliance territory, so my butt keeps getting attacked and killed every 5 to 10 minutes. I spend approximately 4 minutes releasing, running and rezzing which drastically cuts down the possibility rate of catching Ironjaw. Sure, being a warlock I could soulstone, but why waste all my shards? Any suggestions on how I can omprove my chances of catching the darn fish? My fishing skill is maxed out at 475, I have Truesilver fishing line on my pole and it's the Nat Pagle fishing pole. Any info would be helpful

Well I just caught him... and let him go by accident >.< Clicked on the Fishing button again and lost him. I had autoloot on so I thought it'd just pick him up, but since he's BoP - even though I wasn't in a party - it gave me the message 'This is bind on pickup' or whatever the looting message is. Now I'm a fish my life away in IF until some alliance kills me. *sigh* Maybe I'll get lucky and catch him again later on today...
