As if all the mice, rats, and spiders in random raids and instances didn't have it bad enough with the occasional mean player, Blizz had to create a food that will zap them if they're too close to the player. =D Good stuff.
BTW, if you're wondering about it, you don't have to sit down to eat it, it's an instant buff. It proccs somewhat frequently, probably about 30 or 40% chance and for me on my Warlock, shocked for about 28 nature damage per zap.

It hits 2 targets within 8yards or so for 25-45 nature damage, roughly every 8 seconds. Although I have yet to try this in Rainy weather, it is supposed to perform alot better. However it does hit critters for alot more than normal mobs (roughly 666, probably what it does to normal mobs in rainy weather).
Overall, they are pretty much like the delicious chocolate cake - useless beyond a bit of fun.
edit: forgot to mention, they shock anything that can be hit, if you are in or out of combat. So be careful with CC :)
