weell i understand what yall are saying, but the post where it says that NW tops this! im just gonna laugh quetly. 19 damage difference, and the stats on NW are not far better either. Mages/warlocks and especially shadowpriests are ALL about the +damage, then crit, then hit.
If you look at the difference between the tiers, its the damage and crit/hit that has been improved, not the stats.

i have my enigma crown, mishundare n NW crown. n yes, i WONT trade even my MISHUNDARE over this thing. +2% crit far outweight the 20 or so DPS lost. The joy of rolling ignites. enigma is better with 1% hit n 1% crit. now waiting for my FF crown with that uber 2% hit, 1% crit.

( i am in a naxx guild BTW, so i think my point is valid )

IMO, Frostfire, Enigma, Mish'undare, Rank 13 PvP helm and Netherwind are all better than this, unless you are really obsessed with maxing out your +spell damage gear.

i have mindflayer and someone please tell me how it is bette than this hat, i would take this over mindflayer anyday. tell me im wrong

im all about the +dmg im up to 516 ( i know thats not alot for some of u ppl, but we just started naxx) same int 3more stam nad u trade 16 dmg for 2crit
ill do that anyday

I wonder how far away from top damage you are on your raids... If you want to do good damage you stack up on +hit. A mage with good balanced gear and +12-16% to hit with decent +dmg too will absolutely kick the crap out of any idiot mage with pure +dmg gear. Jesus you even use double trinkets STILL when they don't stack...

Frostfire > Enigma > Mindflayer > This > Netherwind

Simple.

Shadowpriest stats clearly. Mages/locks have their mindflayer hat or tier 2,5 hat.
