Like a previous poster mentioned, learn the spell graphic. If you notice someone gain this effect, use your eye. It effectivly cancels out this trinket right off the bat while giving you +50 spell damage and every spell hit brings them 10 closer to zero resist if they aren't already there.

except that you only need to learn the icon that pops on top of the user's head, esp. duel. Whenever you see it, spam your rank 1 instant cast and waste it, it will only eat 10 spells before it's gone, not to mention each spell it eats the resistance goes down by 10.
Flametounge on a 1.4 speed dagger, searing totem and rank 1 earth shock - the effect would hardly last more than 5 sec.
It's the same deal with ZHC/ TOEP/ NAC/ AP.. when they see me pulling up the trinket and I am not careful, I would get sheeped/ feared/ stunned or whatnot till the effect is almost over.
Just think of your own way to deal w/ it rather than complaining on a good item out there.

Right, nice to see you guys be able to crit for 4k+ with an instant cast thanks to your 3 minitue trinkets which btw can both be used AND are easy as hell to get compared to this one trinket. I dont know what it is about you mages that makes you complain so much. I've been here sense day one, and all I've seen the majority do is cry about what ever they can.
Do note, theirs plenty of good mages, and no offense to them in any way. It just kind of ticks me off that people just keep complaining. I mean theirs just been so many good upgrades for mages lately, and thanks to it theirs been less complaining. Oh well guess the guy that posted that was just an idiot :)

Remember, you can have all the armour you want, that does nothing to mitigate magic damage. This lasts only 60 seconds, resistance reduced each time a spell lands, and it's not like every person in this game will own one of these.
So please, stop whining and just deal with it.

Emeriss: short cooldown allows you to use this at every breakpoint to give you a better chance to resist the "corruption of the world", thus reducing the chance of a mushroom chain reaction. Due to the nature of the 4D fights, dps is quite irrelevant and that makes most common trinkets pale in comparison to this.
General Rajaxx: awesome against thundercrash
Moam: use against the arcane explosion - especially worth it if you're manadraining (so you don't benefit from the usual damage trinkets)
Princess Huhuran: insane damage reduction for phase2 poison bolt volleys.
Am I right?
