Alright, almost everyone that posts on these things are dumb lower levels. This item drops from AQ40, its PVE. THERE ARE NO/SHOULD NOT BE ANY FERAL DRUIDS IN PVE. With the exception of some guilds that like to keep 1 feral for offtank/leader of pack. Now, instead of just looking at the stats and seeing no additional effect immediatly turns people off to this item. I'll admit that bloodfang chest is slightly better, but sometimes not all the rogues have bloodfang vest.

ok. This piece
41 agi - 21 str - 20 stam. which = 1.42% crit, 2.829% dodge, 61 AP, 200 HP

Madcap Tunic
19 Stam - 44AP - 2% to crit. which = ... lol 190 HP, 44 AP, and 2% crit haha. Ok, this is good for rogues in ZG and continuing into MC, but does not touch Vest of Swift execution KTHX.

Nightslayer
29 AGI - 10 str - 20 Stam - 1% to crit which = 2% to crit, 2% to dodge, 39 AP, and 200 HP. These pieces are close, but progessed rogue cenus will tell vest of swift execution is better. .58 less crit, .829 more to dodge, 22 more AP. Now crit is important dont get me wrong im a crit maniac, but the dodge easily makes up for it. And if you dont think so, wait till AQ40 and you start getting their whirlwinds, you'll be thanking god every time you dodge one.

Bloodfang
26 agi - 12 str - 17 stam. 1% to crit, 2% to hit which = 1.89% crit, 1.794%dodge, 36 AP, 170 HP. Now, the only reason i would say this is better is because chance to hit is important. But vest of swift execution has over a % more to dodge, 25 more AP, and 30 HP (not that important). These pieces def rival each other, it can be preference with a rogue. Bloodfang > This IMO though.

Sooooo... that took loger than i though. but you guys gotta remember the chest pieces dont always drop... My guild has twin emps down in AQ40, and working on c'thun strats. we have NEVER, EVER, honest to god, EVER had a BF Hood drop of Onyxia. Seriously ... sometimes sh*t doesn't come, and this is def a good rogue piece, and close rival to BF.

This is Feral Druid loot because....

No rogue would be caught dead wearing this. I think I speak for everyone when I say if a horde got cheap shotted by me wearing this, and for some reason they felt exploratory and decided to look at your charater and saw that, they wouldn't react the whole fight because they'd be laughing their asses off at you. They would be puking their brains out afterwards.

Ugly, isn't it? You hardly see a druid's gear in PvP unless they're 30/0/21 balance spec........

Therefore, I declare this Ugly, Nasty, but still useful Feral Loot.

so we have 91AP for feral druid, +2.05%crit and dodge, +210HP for Tauren druid
I'd use it

Your calculation does not factor in that a rogue with bloodfang etc usually have around 1000 atk power while a hunter with lightning reflexes has 1400+. That makes this about equally good for hunters & rogues. Nevertheless, its up to your guild to decide who are allowed to bid on this, if infact your guild can kill the Bugg Trio by killing Lord Kri last (the hardest way).

Good for druids and rogues? Think again

I'm a resto-specced druid (well 0/17/34), and I got this thing today for the minimum price. Why? Because the rogues don't want it, and the druids don't want it as well. As it has been said before - for druids, malfurion's is superior, and our rogues prefer BF (i guess for the bonus?) or deathdealer.

I do have the Genesis chest as well, and I have to say it's much better than this one. Comparing this one with the Genesis chest (mine has a +4 stats enchant, so it's not quite fair, but still) you gain .25% crit chance and some AP, but you lose all the caster bonuses which come quite handy both in PvP and farming.

So, before wasting hard earned dkp on this one, better save for the C'Thun drops (if your guild can manage the bugs, you'll get C'Thun down eventually as well).

Malfurion's is superior for Bear, while this is clearly superior for Cat. You lose only ~5AP, while gaining 2% crit and dodge.

I didn't compare this to Malfurion - wouldn't make much sense, as you pointed out.

I just compared it to the Genesis Vest (for druids) and Bloodfang/Deathdealer for rogues. And in that context, this thing isn't that special anymore.

In essence I agree with you, Daikote. However, be careful using the phrase FAR BETTER in describing it for rogues. A rogue get 62 AP off this chest piece and a feral druid gets 89. Most druids tend to come and try to tag things like this "feral lewt" b/c they don't have the awesome sets available to them such as Bloodfang or Deathdealer's.

This piece would most likely be a major upgrade for a feral druid and would be considered "the best" chest piece availble (as of right now). It would, however, only be a minor upgrade over Bloodfang for a rogue until he get his Deathdealer's piece. (That is if your guild is a hardcore raiding guild...which I would have to assume to be the case)

In my opinion it is an awesome piece for feral and rogue alike.

I don't understand why all druids tagging this feral loot. I have 60 druid and 60 rogue and I would never dream of looting this over any rogue. This chest has 20 more attack power than Bloodfang Chest but 2% less hit. I'd say this is quite comfortably better than Bloodfang for dagger rogues since the +hit can be made up in other gear slots. So this might be nice for druids but _FAR_ better for AP rogues.

Malfurion's is really more a tanking chest thx to its insane armor. 96 AP are of course nice for cat too, but

Vest of Swift Execution
offers 91 AP and 2% Crit, which is IMO way better for cat.
(For bear the 2% dodge are also quite nice, maybe even better than the +armor of malfurion's)

That's two different tanking philosophies though. For bear that is.

One is to dodge more attacks, and hopefully give the healers more respite. While the other is to take a beating, but at a more fluid rate and with less spikes.

Personally I would prefer armor over dodge in this case ( Malfurions vs Execution ), since I am in preference of as little spikes as possible. Spikes can be dangerous if the healers are unaware of it/not prepared.

Malfurions gives about 2% pure damage-mitigation vs Executions 2% chance of avoiding damage. As I said, it's about preference though. At some point you want to stack up on dodge since you have alot of armor anyways. Might be a good choice :)

It'd be a catform choice for me personally.

u'd need soemthing like 6-8% dodge to make up for the armor loss from malfurion (varies depending on how much armor u have already, and if u have thick hide), LONG TERM.

Assuming they were equal mitigation then u could talk the "tanking philsophy" crap but since they arent, its a no contest as far as tanking goes. Malfurion ftw (although i wish it had more than 22 stam... silly blizzard)

And we all know Bloodfang > ALL the leather items in AQ.
