I have been fishing these up in Stranglethorn Vale for quite a while. Have received lots of leather, cloth, coin and the occasional green item. Much to my surprise today I opened one with a blue in it!

I've gotten a lot of these along the Alterac Mountains side of Lordamere Lake (just watch out for the two houses along the lake. One has multiple lvl 39+ rogue-types, the other is chock full of lvl 36-40 Syndicate mobs). It's peaceful fishing otherwise. The only mobs at the water are non-aggro Snapjaws (who sometimes interfere by walking through your targeting cursor just as the bobber drops but otherwise are harmless). Mostly cloth/wool/leather trade items, which I forward on to Tailor or Leatherworking friends. Ocassionally some coin or a minor item (potions or sometimes a green item but nothing I haven't auctioned yet). Generally, better stuff than the watertight chests/trunks I have gotten from the Eastern and Western Strands off of Southshore (bolts of silk cloth instead of wool, occasionally bolts of mageweave cloth; some thick leather).

Fished several of these up out of the pools of wreckage along the coast of Stranglethorn Vale

Usually contained tradeskill items like Bolt of mageweave, Bolt of Silk Cloth, Heavy Leather, Thick leather.
