Man im so happy. Well first of all there was 10 of us all level 70 who went in there to just get to the boss to get the mages book to poymorph to a turtle or something like that, well anyways we killed everything in there and at the same time we were over 85% health like all the time. We slautered everything with ease. I got won that bow and was thrilled cuz as a rogue ranged weapons can be used for style like the warrior that ganked that hunter in the previous post. But man that bow is so sick lookin its second best next to the Soulstring wich i think is awsome but the dungeon is obsolete since BC
This dropped for me on my hunter last night but a warrior outrolled me for it and they gave it to a warrior over a hunter... Hopefully it will drop again in further runs, its so secksy :D
Won this last night rolling against 2 other hunters. Its a significant upgrade for me since I've been using bloodseeker up until now. Now to put a +7 scope on this sucker...*wanders off*
just because it is the best bow for rogues it does make a little sence to give it to them first. your gonna want your rogues maxed out insted of partly maxed theres better ranged weps for hunters out there and they should be getting thos ones as for a roll i think its only fair for hunters to roll against rogues.
i play a hunter and am looking forward to this bow... looks perty.
In my guild a rogue got this over three other hunters. For each of the hunters this would have been an upgrade. The reasoning that the raid leader put forth was that this is "one of the best bows a rogue can get" so it automatically went to rogues only. Does this make sense to anyone? It seems like giving an item to a rogue just because of the stat bonus isn't a good way to use the item. I'd rather the rogues got Hoodoo Hunting Bow and gave the higher dps to the hunters that need it.
If this was an upgrade for any hunter in the raid (noob or otherwise) and he/she was passed over to give this bow to a rogue . . . .I'd not group with that raid leader again, imho. IF, however, it was clearly stated that the rogue in question was out for a new bow and any that dropped would be his then the hunters made their choice and have to live with it.
I just think it's stupid to give this bow to a rogue over three hunters who need it.
I'm a 60 hunter and I have this bow, its good and it looks good.... it doesnt even compare to the hunter quest bow, but it's only one or two steps behind it. plus its a nice upgrade from Carapace Spine Crossbow/Ancient Bone Bow
It's not unfair if you're in a guild that is strictly a raiding guild and all members can go to ZG. Then DKP is awarded for raid attendance... if the DKP system is set up correctly. In the case of my guild, even those who are not able to attend the raids, due to full groups or RL issues, are rewarded a small amount of DKP, given that they notify an officer prior to the raid. Also, it is highly suggested that the system is set up so that class specific items are not DKPed by someone not in that class. For instance, a warrior calling DKP on a dagger. We specify what class or classes the item would benefit more and then DKP within that class. If there is no one in that class that wants the item, then it is offered to those outside the class or DEed and put in the bank. This makes things fair and will benefit the guild in the long run by gearing up all members in preperation for bigger better things... like AQ40 and Naxx.
So, the DKP system is really set up for the serious raiders. If you find yourself in a guild that uses the DKP system and you only raid once every two weeks or so, then my suggestion would be to find a guild that does not use this system or you will be missing out on a lot. If a guild adopts this system, then it should be very well organized and have scheduled raids. Anything run outside of raid time should not be eligible for DKP.
If not the only one, then one of the few that does. Most guilds dont use DKP for ZG because the whole guild cant go, and if you're using DKP in ZG then you probably get DKP from going. So 20 people would be ahead in DKP. Would be especially unfair if the ZG raid wasnt scheduled.
