i was the only guy in the raid who could use swords and had a worse weapon before, so i rolled on it and won. i dont care what the @#%^ are you thinking about me, i rolled on it because i had sh*t gear before. now i have a sh*t weapon but at least its epic. btw im a lock...

That sounds very unlikely to me. Sounds like you ninja'd it...good thing you don't care what anyone thinks. There are plenty of blue weapons better suited for a lock than this one, dude.
This dropped for me yesterday on a guild run, i have QS and all the tanks were saying BD is better than QS (I'm in an Nef Farming guild) and so i got this, think i'll put a +15 agi on it as i have crusader on my QS doesn't matter now that i have both which one i use but Imo if i have +15 agi on BD it will be a tiny bit better.

If you have both then use Quel'serrar, if you only have BD then go for QS if you have the money,if you already have QS then keep it...that proc is priceless.
Just to add something to what this guy said, if you have BD DO NOT buy QS the difference between them both is very slow and not worth the 1000g it will cost.

I finally got this tonight in a PUG ZG run sponsored by my guild
We've been farming mandi for about a month and a half now and we havent had one drop. One finally did and my guildmaster told the non-guildies it went to me since im MT and we've been trying to get one. I was overjoyed =D
I hate this weapon. It never drops. I've been farming ZG since may (twice every week) and never dropped. Halbert of Smiting has dropped five times, 4 times got disenchanted. I HATE YOU BLOODLORD MANDOKIR!
Well, if you already have both, put crusade on QS, and chain BD. You never know when youll need chain on good weapon. For example, I have one chanied sword for BRD mostly. When i farm DI, going for burning essences and stuff...If you have BD and dont have QS, put crusader on BD. Its waste of money to spend 1k+ g on Foror's compendium, so you could get QS. Imo, QS is slightly beter then BD. Beter spend that money on nifty enchants, or mats for FR/NR gear... Something like that.
i'm a main tank with Thunderfury and since now its off-hand able i've done a fun duelwield put this in my main-hand and Thunderfury in off-hand and guess wut i pwn in PvP so if u ever get both like me try it its fun

I am Exxod fear my power, and then forfeit your me your candy ^^
I am having a hard time choosing between this and the Quel.
Tankpoints favors the BD, but that doesn't account for the QS proc. That proc is invaluable, and everyone knows how much it goes off. Who knows how many times it has made the difference for me over the course of a long boss fight?
The BD definitely feels weaker in terms of DPS across the board, but the bonus I'm getting for my dodge & overall AR is really hard to ignore. I have the mats for Crusader, but I'm hesitant. It might be my imagination, but it seems as if the Quel holds aggro a touch better, maybe from the slightly higher damage, or the proc? I would hate to waste those orbs on something that I will, ultimately, not use as my #1 weapon.
Opinions?

I have the quel and it proc rate is just crazy, and i know people will yell"Its only 5% noob!" but it seems much higher then that. On a normal ZG mob it procs at least once but usually twice. The BD is very nice and if you get it keep it. I was lucky enough to find the QS book on a DME run. Comes down to, how lucky do you feel :P Quel is better if it procs alot, BD is better if your an unlucky person and it doesnt proc for ya.

if u get BD keep it. waste of money no matter how much u got for QS if u got this. i hav been farming zg for months now and never seen this drop and i kno i would rather pay for this then QS. just imo. also, imo 15 agil is better for tanking than crusader. .75% dodge, .75% crit helps to reduce dmg taken and increase dmg given. some ppl say that crusader reduces how much damage u take by increasing strength (which in turn increases shield block damage), but 100 strength ≈ 10 extra damage blocked by a shield which is not a lot when u factor in how many attacks you block. also, since this is a proc, it further reduces the chance that u will block 10 more damage whereas .75% dodge is constant.

this is true because QS isnt relieable with its proc. the passive abilities of the BD are a lot more dependable making it a better tanking weapon.
