Feral druid here, got the ring a few weeks back and I'm loving it. This is the best cat dps ring currently in the game. Combine this with a Might of Cenarius and I will be very happy.
The strength means that 1. feral druids* get the most out of it (2.4 AP/str), followed by 2. fury warriors (2 AP/str and good use for AP), 3. other warriors (2 AP/str), 4. combat rogues (1 AP/str), 5. dagger rogues (1 AP/str, but more focus on other things but AP), 6. marksman hunters (no RAP/str) and finally 7. survival hunters (no RAP/str, should look most for agi).
But in fact, the improvement depends much more on what they are using previously.
And after all, I hope that dkp decides who gets this item...
*: Note that rank 13 ferals are worth a lot in PvE if they are good players. Furthermore, they'll get a catform aggro reduction in 1.12.
Worthless for hunters now. 22AP and not even 1% crit. Makes painweaver band just as good :)

They would tear their heads and face with their fingers and fingernails in an attempt to maim themselves in their madness. They would beat the walls with their hands and head, and scream in an effort to relieve pressure on their eardrums."
yea the agil is nice for hunters seeing that it gives 44 ranged atk power and about .4% chance to crit. but with the strength on this i really thinnk rogues should have priority on it. btw i'm a hunter
I just got this on my pally... and I made it clear I wanted it for when I pvp.....and also that I would NOT take it over another class who would benefit more for it.... so I threw up a very low... yet not minimum dkp bid for it. It seemes that noone else really wanted it enough to spend any dkp for it... and therefore I got it. We are a serious raiding guild and have had bwl on farm status for a couple months now.... we are all very well geared and don't argue over loot. The bottom line is this... there are many items that are cross-class applicable, and many classes do other things when not in raids. Paladins of course being one of them... they are a utility class... obviously they mostly h heal/cleanse in raids, but they can also deal DECENT dps with the right gear. If you are in BWL or any other end game instance with your guild... I would hope that you would learn to work together and not argue over loot...if someone really wants something... or if someone has been waiting for something such as this ring... I would never bid on it. But since it wasnt that big of a deal for it.. and we see it drop all the time... on this particular raid...I got it... and got "grats" from all my fellow guildmates. There are many weapons, and rings and trinkets and other items that are cross class applicable to many classes... if you want something.... make it be known so that your friends and guildmates will work with you. If you work on a purely silent bidding dkp system... and really want something bid high enough to get it or wait until the next time.
Learn to play the game TOGETHER with your guildmates... and friends... cheer them when they accomplish something or get a nice item... and you will be much happier within the game!
This is are very good ring for retibution paladins for exact the same reasons why they are good for every other melee-class and hunters. Like someone allready said, feral druids will get the most out of it stat wise. If a warrior wants it, he should simply overbid the others, and not expect that he receives everything as a gift. Thats the deeper meaning of a DKP system.
And why the hell shouldnt he get Ashkandi? It's one of the best weapons for that class and if he is willing to spend more points then everyone else in the raid, then where is the problem? And believe it or not, there are raids where paladins do more than just buff and cleanse.
Great for Rogues, Hunters, Off- Warriors and Feral Druids. A druid will get the most out of it stat wise, but then again, many raid group will not allow them to bid : /
as a rogue, yes this is a very nice ring. I woudl want one. But if the MT wanted it ide let him have it over me becasue IMO this is comparable to Painweavers Band for me at least. Im content with the higher crit chance provided by that ring and don julios.
Please, delete your char, delete WoW, format the drive it was instaled on and dont ever speak if you have no idea what are you talkin' 'bout. kkthxbai, jizys
This is a huge feral ring -- far better than Don Julio's, better even than QSR for cat form. In cat with HotW, it's worth 50.8 AP and 1.1% crit/dodge. And with all that agi, it's not too shabby for tanking, either.
no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rollsno one rolls no one rollsno one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls no one rolls
For a hunter, this ring would be 44 AP and 0.42% crit. For a survival hunter, 50 AP and 0.47% crit. For a rogue, it would be 34 AP and 0.76% crit. For another class, it would be 24 AP and 1.10% crit.
It's clearly inferior for a rogue, not that you couldn't just use both. A warrior or shaman would be trading 11 AP for 0.1% crit chance in the other direction, so they probably don't want it either. However, as a hunter, I'd concede 0.5% crit for 20 AP.

We get more out of items like these on the rare chance c*ck-smokes give us the opportunity to even bid on them....

No kidding... but you see, it is also a rogue and DPS warrior weapon as well. Though there is really no need to say any of this, as it is obvious to anyone who plays those classes, or has any association with those classes.
